So i have been looking up stuff about chaptars and im a bit confused. I know that a chapter consists of 1000 marines and thats 10 companys of 100 units, tanks air units, and dreads dont count.

So then is the first company made up of not only the elite members of the chapter like the honor guard, vandguard, sternguards, terms ect ect. but also the officers? Ie 10 chaplains one assigned to a company x amount of librarians, x amount of apothacarys, so on and so forth.

So my understanding is that the first company consistes of elite units and officers which are split amongst the other companys right?

And if any one has a force chart of the first company i would love you forever

The first company is (AFAIK):
Captain
97 Veterans
2 Dreadnoughts

Captains are counted as part of their company.
The Chapter Master is separate from the rest of the Chapter in this regard.

1st Company Strength varies. Normally it consists of roughly the 100 most experienced Battle-Brothers of the Chapter not assigned to headquarters positions or ship command. These veterans have access to varying numbers of Terminator Armor but otherwise deploy themselves in Sternguard or Vanguard squads. Venerable Dreadnoughts holding the remains of notable Battle-Brothers are also commonly attached to the 1st Company.

Not quite. A thousand Marines is a ballpark estimate; the most detail on specific breakdowns I've seen is in the Blood Angels Codex, which gives an approximate figure of 1,300-1,400 Marines total once you factor in everyone.

Chaplains, Librarians, Apothecaries, and Techmarines all have their own organizations outside the Company structure referred to as the Reclusiam, the Librarium, the Apothecarion, and the Armory, and in most Chapters the Honor Guard (from which Command Squads and presumably Force Commanders for smaller contingents that aren't important enough to be led by a Captain are drawn) it its own separate organizational entity. Dreadnaughts also aren't counted against the number, but are assigned specifically to Companies.

OK so, officers and things like the librarium, and what not are not counted. and the 1000 thing means that they have 1000 soldiers, meaning tac, scounts, bikes, assault, and devestators.

Then the first company is lead by a veteran captain, and the whole first company is made up of stern guards and vanguards, who have access to terminator armor, right?
