So I have the starter box, Thragosh, a strider unit and a succubus through trades... What else do I want?

I really like the nephilim but am having trouble as to finding a caster to compliment them. I also am looking at Thagosh tier lists but they seem very limited in what he can field. Is it worth just playing him out of the tier listings?

Finally... What is people's take on Kallus?

The black rage is within us all. Lies offer no shield against the inevitable. You speak of donning the black of duty for the red of brotherhood; but it is the black of rage you shall wear when the darkness comes for you.

What you want for Legion: Either a Shepard or a Forsaken (or one of each). They are your near-mandatory fury support, and will pull their weight in almost every game. If you have the Strider unit, but not the UA, I'd strongly recommend adding the UA. If you want more warbeast options, a Scythean or a Ravagore are both excellent options.

Which Thagrosh do you have? Prime or Epic? They play somewhat differently, but both are excellent outside their tier lists. I don't know much about the Nephilim Soldier or (the Shield Guard one), but the Bolt Thrower works pretty well with Lylyth2, and I imagine would be good with Lylyth1 from the battle box as well.

Kallus is a very infantry focused lock. For running him, you'll want Legionaries and/or Soldiers, plus some Incubi models if you don't want to have to proxy. He seems to work pretty well, and has an attrition playstyle that is less common in Legion.

Wolf heathen - I accept your challenge, but only on my terms! 250% points for me!
You - Ha! You've activated my trap card! Allied army! Come forth to assist!
Friend - Sup
Wolf Heathen - An equal point match?! This is not acceptable! Tau friend! Form up on me!

And then some guy throws a manta at the table and promptly breaks it in half sending figures and terrain everywhere.

Right now I have Thagrosh prime.

Buy a heavy dragonspawn kit. You already have a Carnivean, with this kit you can make a Ravagore or Scythean. The latter is considered the staple melee powerhouse of the faction, having reach and up to 7 attacks in a round at a respectable pow. Ravagore is one of the best shooters in the game- high pow, high range, ignores stealth, continuous fire. If you want to make a list that will make your friends quit pair 2 or so of him with epic Lylyth.

Typhon is also an easy model to do well with. Thagrosh can do fine non-tier, often new players focus too much on tier lists without realizing they're usually not worth what you give up. Kallus is a pretty good caster for infantry, making them very accurate.
