Hi.
Its some of old stuff. I`l paint this demon for Winter Angel russian competetion. It took 5th place in monster category.
It was in this year`s february.
It took a lot of time and was hard enough to paint. In design i want to freehand wings also, but too much time was spended on the moment, so i dont.
There is no tips or guides. If you want the same - you need take a brush and work hard.

Your painting skills are remarkable and I've been both impressed and inspired by your work. However, I can't say I really like the model. The techniques etc are obiously flawless but I don't think the color etc suit the demon, it's a bit too "shiny" in my opinion.

I clicked on this page cause the name made me think of a magic the gathering card called Rune-scarred demon, I was not disappointed by what I've found, good job! And I have to ask was Rune-scarred demon a inspiration for this model?

im not saying i can do better and i cant but i do want to state my opinion... if the OP doesnt want people to post their opinions he shouldnt post his work and he knows that!
btw people on dakka are much more forgiving then the people on CMoN

compare it to a food critic... he is not required to be able to cook at the same standard, as long as he knows what he's talking about

That is really good. I partculary like the white parts of the skin with the runes on it, and the backside of the wings with the shading.
