Can psykers cast spells from vehicles? Specifically, Psyker Battle Squads in Chimeras.

I think it depends on the power, for example boons may be allowed but others not, but then again, I'm not sure

Witchfire psychic shooting attacks are counts-as assault weapons and can be fired from vehicles in the same way as any other ranged weapon. p68/69 in the psychic section of the rules is pretty clear on this.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Powers that require LOS (but aren't WitchFire) can't, as they re unable to use th fire points.

IIRC Weaken Resolve cannot be cast from inside.

For clarification, as far as I know the rule is ( correct me if I am wrong, maybe I am still mixing up with 5th ed.) :

> PSA powers :
Yes can be cast from a vehicle ( though it 'uses a fire point') . Of course if the vehicle has no fire point and not open-topped, you cannot cast !

> non-PSA powers that requires line of sight :
NO can NOT cast from a vehicle ( even if it has fire point, even if it is open-topped). Exception is if the target is inside the vehicle OR is the vehicle itself , here you should be able to cast.
Ex : any benediction/malediction

> non-PSA powers that do NOT requires line of sight :
yes can cast from a vehicle. Any distance is measured from the vehicle's hull.
Ex: GK's warp quake

I don't know if Weaken resolve is a PSA or not. Is it ?

Note : it seems that special rules / equipment usually follow rules similar to the "non-PSA powers".
For example, the Big Mek 's KFF doesn't need line of sight so it is still effective from within a vehicle. On the other hand., Coteaz's "Ive been expecting you' needs line of sight and can not work if Coteaz is in a vehicle

Yes, that summary is pretty much right. The only part that needs fixing is that the exception in part two (non-PSA that require LOS) is not only the unit in the vehicle, but also the vehicle itself.
