Good spot

the more detail I see on the pinups the harder it will be to choose the few I can have when the pledge manager launches

The detail and the way the rawhide dame flows is really impressive. I know I will be getting all the Thomas David pin ups for sure.

Do we know which ones he'll be doing?

Adam typically listed who'd be sculpting (or had already sculpted) each thing

I shall rush off and 'waste' some time compliling a list

Much appreciated!

This will certainly help me figure what to get - as I'll be wanting all of Mr. David's work!

I know it's really too early but I was ordering more card sleeves from Boardgameextras and they are now taking preorders for Swanpanasia 52mmx52mm (2"x2") card sleeves (due February) just in case anyone is looking for UK stockist for this card sleeve for the gear cards. I threw a pack in my order as they say they will be limited in number and £3 for 160 sleeves is good value - this all assumes that the gear cards will fit them but I'm not to out of pocket if they don't.

Can someone post a comparison shot of the KD miniatures standing up next to figures from other lines?

I'm interested in picking up one for a test run, to see what they really look like, but am hesitating on them as having not really ever seen one before in real life.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

I will just note, WOW the ankles are thin... just got a couple pin-ups in the mail and they are perfect... but so much thinner joints due to the realism of the proportions.

I noticed the same thing with the new Malifaux plastics. Fortunately both are made of sturdy enough material that it shouldn't be a problem. Unless you're really hamfisted with your toys.

I want to take Thomas David out to a nice steak dinner and never call him again. Well, not the second part. These look simply fantastic.

Thomas David is really doing an awesome job on these ones. I just hope they will turn out good in plastics, too, and that they will keep all the sharp details.

They do indeed!

Damn I'm happy to have thrown money at this.

Also, on BoLS there is a painting guide up for the Watcher;

I had forgotten how great the phoenix armor is. Every new picture reinforces my decision to buy in.

The paintjob on the watcher is excellent, but I'm not sold on the color choices he made. Not what I will be doing for mine.

Those look really cool, might need to add the pin-up to my pledge if I can (nothings been said on this has it?). the basic phoenix kit comes in the starter set doesn't it? on the blog it says the minis are 35mm, but I'm sure the kickstarter said 28mm, which is it? (have I just mis-read it?).

The Phoenix armor kits are included in the base game (after all, so is the Phoenix!). The base contents were (I think more has been added, but at least) the following;

EDIT: Yup, it looks like all of the armor kits listed below have been doubled over time, so the base game includes enough for 4 male, 4 females of each type.

Spoiler:

Ah, brilliant, hadn't seen that, got to the kickstarter very late (and made a huge hashup of my pledge as a result, hoping for the ability to change it, emailed Adam about it). It got really overwhelming at the end trying to keep track of what was going on, however all the models so far are amazing, I might even get the phoenix pinup, not normally my thing but this one is so well done that I might break that trend.

When placed next to one another, the pinup Phoenix Armor model actually doesn't look too out-of-place. It's still exceptionally sexualized, but the proportions and armor look to fit with the theme of the more sensible armor kit models.
