I actually had to go look to see if I was getting one, and I am but not resin. The sneak peak of a pin-up in the last update doesn't make it seem like there's a massive fall-off though.

So assuming there's no further delays (this is a very dangerous assumption with any KS, I know), only five months to the shinies!

So true :( I managed to get the last release only by getting it immediately on my phone!

The Twilight Knight pin-up remains ever elusive for me. Actually that's what got me to hop in; the prospect of having some form of the Twilight Knight prompted spending enough to buy a couple dozen...well, in a world where they were regularly stocked anway.

In conventions at the Coolminiornot booth, they usually bring along a bunch of different KD stuff(or they do at Gencon at least). That's how I've managed to grab all my KD stuff(such as the Twilight Knight pin-up).

I can't remember the revised shipping date - wasn't it "Q1 2014" though?

So, I wouldn't be surprised if that slipped into April or Q2 2014 at all...

March is the last month in Q1 2014, which is indeed what I based my "five months" statement on so everyone's a winner!

Of course, being a KS I am fully expecting a "well, we have MOST of the stuff in, but shipping won't start until mid-April/May" sort of email because stuff always goes awry. But I'm trying to ignore reality as long as possible here damnit!

Yeah, out of all the kickstarters I've backed(over 10, can't remember right now), only 2 have kept to their deadline.

He said Q1 2014 but I keep telling myself and my brother that it might still take some time for it to reach us good and proper. But with updates like these, I personally don't mind one bit in all honesty, as we can clearly see what's going on and that he is using the delay to good effect to put the finishing touches on this and adding extra gubbins to that.

Yeah, I assume it won't start shipping until March, with most delivering in April. I'm also curious if thats just the core or also all the expansions.

It's all happiness, peace and love

until the first few posts about how people have got their games, and how great they are

then the 'OMG have I been forgotten' and 'My friend has his, why not ME' posts will start showing up

I meant with a layout sorta like this:

Ogre Designers Edition
Steve Jackson Games
KS Funding Date: 11 May 2012
Total Funding: $923,680 USD
Total Backers: 5512
Estimated Delivery Date: November 2012
Actual Delivery Date: TBD

It would be an interesting way to track who is delivering on time, what the average delay is, etc.

That would be interesting.

From Adam in the KS comments

He's decided to junk the Dragon King sculpt he's got in hand as it's not working for him, and he can't justify spending the $60,000 the mould will cost unless the figure is perfect

So Thomas David will hand sculpt a new version, intended to be 14cm high to the top of the head (not the horns)

14cm!?!?? And Thomas David. Oh wow. My pants just got a little tight. Could only be more excited if it was Carrasco or Roberto!

There is an update coming tomorrow (Friday):
Next update will be next friday, aka black friday! And yes, their is no tracking on first class international, the number there is just the label number. We didn't realize that ship station was sending out automated messages until after the sale rush was over. Just some growing pains as we switched to the new platform.

More plastic test shots and something about a monster control panel:

In the next update, monster control panel! And also more photos of test plastic shots.

BLACK FRIDAY LAUNCH ANNIVERSARY UPDATE!
Comment Like
Hello Backers,

One year ago today, I pushed the button that launched Kingdom Death: Monster and my humble life of making boutique miniatures was turned upside down! The memories of that very first day are flooding back to me. The excitement and the enthusiasm of you backers has kept me pushing out 16 hour work days for a full year now!

Thank you! Now let's get to the update!

I am pushing the estimated fulfillment of the project back to Q2 2014.
While its actually still possible we hit the tail end of Q1 ( march ) I am giving us a little breathing room in case something fails to meet my high requirements or part of the shipments get stuck in customs. I am just being super duper honest with you guys, we will have to see how it goes and I will keep everyone updated at milestone moments as we continue to move forward.

EU Fulfillment
Will not be finalized until everything is checked and packed in our warehouse. Once we have all the final numbers I will finalize the best way to ship everything. Our current plan is to pack every single reward box and then work with a shipping company to pick everything up, bulk import it and then ship it all from a single point in the EU with a customs declaration equal to the reward level. We are exploring all options to make this as ideal as possible for EU backers. Please be aware that this plan is subject to change.

Kingdom Death Plastic
Hard plastic kits are a huge amount of work. At this point I've been working two 8 hour jobs everyday, for a year. 2pm - 10pm it's game rules, print and design work. From 10pm-6am its on Skype with my project manager in China. It's been truly intense as we scrutinize every single cut and just about every detail of the entire range. Our goal is for every plastic miniature to be the best it can be and all that time and effort of both teams is finally crystalizing into the form of Kingdom Death plastic miniatures. Many of my friends can't tell the difference between the resin & plastic versions until I hand them a macro lens camera.

Also, Black Friday people:
http://shop.kingdomdeath.com/

KD:M Kickstarter Black Friday Only, Late Backers are welcome
Every day, our inboxes are stuffed with a variety of people asking to become backers. For this black friday only (November 29), we have decide to make our final exception, the last back door pass, the absolute final opportunity to become a very late supporter of the Kingdom Death:Monster kickstarter. If people miss this, they will have to wait until our warehouse is full, backer fulfillment is underway and we open pre-orders based on final retail prices.

We have three mega late pledge options. Late backers will not have access to the pledge manager. It's the only way to do this and keep things manageable for us. Late backers will be added to a separate late backer fulfillment list and will be emailed when we have KS updates. Late backers will get all post delay upgrades.

1. Bronze - Survivor Level
2. Silver - Survivor Level + All Expansions
2. Gold - Survivor Level + All Expansions, Plastic Promos & Plastic Pinups.

Available here

Wrap Up
As bits and pieces of the project finally begin to wrap up… I just can't describe how excited I am. We have had so many wonderful play-test groups and so many survivors have already met their demise on the cold stone-faced floor. Once you guys finally have the game and its many expansions in hand, I can't wait to hear all about how everyone's best survivor met their ultimate end!

I think the website will definitely need a death counter of some sort… with unlockable content at certain milestones? Hmmmmmmm… Ok I had better stop thinking about that for now, so I can focus on everything that needs to happen now.

The next BIG update should be late into December. Dunno if I will be able to squeeze a small one out in between now and then, depends on how demanding the next 2 weeks are.

Thank you all again. Thank you for your support, thank you for your patience and most of all thank you for being awesome! Kingdom Death backers are the greatest backers there have ever been!!! I am doing everything I possibly can to make sure the Kingdom Death experience is the greatest we can muster!!!

$190 for the base game
$510 for the Game + Expansions
$795 for the Game + Expansions + Everything else

Also, a Grab Bag of Death:
http://shop.kingdomdeath.com/collections/in-stock/products/black-friday-black-grab-bag-of-death

A chance to mine the hidden history of Kingdom Death. Along the way, this project has yielded some models that while lovely, will not be sold or produced. We've also amassed an enormous collection of miscasts and incomplete figures that cannot be sold but with a little love from an ambitious modeller could be great for conversions or hobby projects.
We have put together a grab bag containing an assortment of KD history. The photos show grab bag #0017 and its contents. After photographing, all the parts were returned to the bag and it was added to the lot.
Grab bags are not created equally and include:

1 random never-to-be-released figure (complete and well cast)
- Great Game Hunter early variant
- Mother early variant
- Male Savior early variant

An assortment of roughly 4 figures either almost complete or some parts miscast:
- Preacher pinup
- Preacher pinup 54mm
- Original Forsaker
- Forsaker pinup
- White Speaker pinup
- Blessed One
- White Speaker Koshka
- Preacher
- Savior
- Relic Knight early variant
- Order Knight early variant
- Surprise Bits!!
- ?????

PLEASE NOTE:
4 figures may include miscast or missing parts. These will not be replaced or refunded. Final Sale!!
Grab bags are random. We cannot pack grab bags per requests.
Limit 2 per customer. Please be respectful of the spirit these are offered in, share the love! We reserve the right to refund any orders containing too many grab bags.

Heh, I've already gone in on a grab bag and rounded out my pin-ups.

By the way, from the newly posted comments;
Spoiler:
Creator Kingdom Death 2 minutes ago
We will have a final round of letting people add to their pledge, but it won't be until next year.

Looking at these plastic test shots I can imagine catching pokemon fever... seriously though, if this level of detail really translates to the model in hand, I think this will represent a real high water mark in miniatures. The sharpness of inorganic elements has always been taken as a given for plastic, but this level of quality in smooth organic shapes (oh so smooth indeed)? Amazing.

Most of the pinups I'm not that fond of, but I do like Beyond the Wall. If they're going to let us add on eventually, I may throw that one in. Those plastics all look great though.

Also, did you have to tell me that there's mystery bags available? I haven't purchased any direct from Poots before, but those mystery bags are really tempting.

Those figures are looking great. Didn't go in for the game, but glad I went in on several plastic figures. Agree Buzzsaw, these are going to serve as a great example of plastic figs. Poots wasn't kidding when WGF said they wanted to make this link their best product ever.

Grabbed a Dung Knight and grab bag for the sale. May regret it latter when more stuff comes up, but still curious to see what I get

And now to see if that rear shot of the Lantern Pinup ends up in the Depiction of Women thread

Sad to hear it is getting pushed back even further, especially with me being in the EU, but feth it, he's open and honest about this and as passionate as a year ago to see this through to the end, not to mention Poots giving us extra stuff to make up for this, unlike a certain French company.
