Quick Question:

Are any of you interested in any of the resin pin ups?

I think I'd actually prefer to have them in plastic and I have, I think 7 of the 8 that are represented in the new box that's coming out.

Shoot me a PM if you are.

@Sinful Hero
Fantastic - I've completely missed that button probably because I rarely scroll all the way down. As for the discussion or post count - I try to minimise my spamming

@Cincy: I'd love to get them off your hands mate, but sadly I am not sure I can even get the plastic ones atm. Had an emergency dentist run in that unfortunately made a huge dent on the plstic dollies fund. You can't go wrong with them on ebay though...

Little slow on the draw there Alph.

@Cincydooly
I think a negligible amount of detail appears to be lost from the transition to this plastic, but you may still have a hard time trading since I think he mentioned that some of the sculpts have been "re-imagined" or altered from the original resins.

Too many windows open, though I will endeavor to be less helpful/friendly going forward!

Good to hear that these Plastic Pinup Sets are already shipping though - and it was a good reminder to hurry up and order a set tonight too!

I found a mini-blog of an individual on Reddit that posted close-up pictures of the Twilight Knight pinup in plastic assembly:

http://imgur.com/a/gjppr

The quality of the pictures is rather nice.

I'm looking forward to the KD:M models.

I am NOT a master class caliber painter, but I think he needed to thin his paints...

Painting skills aside, they're great-quality close-up pictures taken of the plastic sprues and assembly.

I am the painter and poster of that Twilight Knight.

I used Vallejo's Sunny Skintone, with some Basic Skintone highlights.

I used Testors Cement For Plastics to assemble it, so yes they take poly cement.

This was my first try at a "nice" paintjob. I usually paint 15mm, and even in 28mm I usually just do a basecoat and wash, and get them to the table to fight.

Hey!

No offense was intended - and welcome to Dakka Dakka!

And I wasn't kidding earlier as learning to really thin your paints is a key component to a good paint job!

Thanks for the assembled pics! When I said, "not a fan of the paintjob", I was referring more to the color choice than the technical aspects. God knows I'm not the best miniature painter around. What made you choose green for the cloak?

I usually paint WWII or Sci-Fi soldiers. I was tired of browns.

I didn't realize until after I was done the blue with red accents was a little Wonder Woman, especially with the silver buttons on the belts.

You should totally go back to paint the panties blue, and the breastplate red and gold.

Everything will be hard plastic EXCEPT the following monsters which I am still deliberating over: Lion God, Sunstalker, Gorm.

That's a good questions!

I can see the end result being that *everyone* gets the Lion God, Sunstalker and Gorm in resin, with maybe those originally pledging for it in resin getting a bonus something or other too?

Those three monsters might be difficult to do in plastic due to their bulk?

But then again, the plastic Watcher and Dragon King sure came out nicely!

They've shown a plastic Dragon King?

Pretty sure it was the resin(or whatever material) master. We HAVE seen a plastic Phoenix that was incredible, but no dragon as far as I know.

I don't believe Lion God, Gorm or the Sunstalker were ever available in Resin to start with (in the KD:M KS)

The Dragon King shown was the actual sculpt.

I'm guessing the Gorm, Lion God and Sun Stalker only sold in low numbers on the survey due to either being outright weird or containing details that people aren't comfortable with, otherwise it's a strange coincidence that it's these 3 in particular and not others. He's probably still looking at something that can be mass produced but is more cost effective the original plan was for PVC for these and that might be where they end up. I'm still hpoing the Gorm comes with both feet/hand options and I wouldn't mind if it got tweaked a bit in production I only got it as it was effectively free with the armour and pin up. 3 minis in PVC and the rest hard plastic that's something I never thought he'd achieve at the start.

I'd have gotten the Lion God, but I just couldn't fit it into my pledge, and had to draw a line somewhere.

That said, I really hope it gets a general release down the line.
