I'm perfectly fine with getting wrecked in combat, but those unlucky events just aggrave the hell out of me sometimes.
Oh, and on the subject of casual mode, I tried about half a campaign in the official casual mode, and it's a lot of fun, stuff is still brutal but you get to make jokes about getting atomized into unconsciousness or sleep off a decapitation rather than grimacing about how many sessions went into that painful 2 on a severe roll.
Note that when you master a style it's added to your list of innovations- you don't lose it with the survivor.
Yeah, I know, but the stat buffs are just so tasty on the guy who makes it there, and it happened to be someone relatively young so they had a lot of fights still in them.

That always sucks. But. That's also Kingdom Death.
Anyone have any links to game aids? Cheat sheets, rules compendiums anyone has created? I downloaded a great Severe Injury PDF which makes it so much nicer than having all these sticky notes in my book. Some quick rules would be great.

Finally got my Spidicules request in, the reply was fast enough, though it was made clear that it would be a long, long wait before I'd see my replacement legs.

I've seen it mentioned in the Facebook group. No reason it couldn't work. Might be strange to see a Lion dragging an Antelope all over the board though.
Hmm looks like we can order the expansions again. Finally got my set of expansions from the spearhead sale last week (minus Spidicules). The mail specifically talks about the spidicules expansion but even last night it already said sold out for the EU warehouse :(, not looking forward to those custom charges
Many Spidicules expansion boxes were packed with the wrong set of legs! Resolving the issue meant we had to pull it from the last sale. The units at the US warehouse are fixed and ready to go. Units at the other warehouses may still be affected. Please contact us and let us know, we will send out a replacement set of legs right away.

For those that Magnetized - any updates on your process? I found that using the wire that comes wrapped around chicken wire from lowes, is the perfect gauge and I've used that to pin all the hand/weapons to the arms. It makes it super easy to swap out weapons. I'll post some pictures soon. I took a little break from the project because it just .. takes .. so .. damn .. long. But it's so worth it. I've got all the core sets done and working on the expansions now. At some point I can finally proceed to the painting stage.

I was having troubles drilling into the wrists for pins, so instead i used no pins, only 1x1 magnets (and 2x1 for torso/legs) but I had to cut down the hands a bit, which some greenstuff will fix up right. it all works well, except some weapons are just too heavy, so itll hold but only when held downwards. But I was able to magnetize my whole set and it seems to be a hit with my players.

There are some details on my process in the comments, but I'm planning to do a more detailed step-by-step tutorial, when I have some time to do another kit and take pictures as I go along.

Yep, I came across your blog when trying to figure out a good way for the hands. I took a different approach, as explained above. I bought a roll of chicken wire and it comes with a malleable wire wrapped around it in the packaging (from Lowes). I believe it might be 19 gauge but not sure. After drilling, I glued the wire to the hand, and it comes off for about just over 1/4" (to insert into the arms).
Since everything is magnetized, I took advantage of magnetic sheets to keep everything neat. I also made some weapon racks from the king's hand sprue.
Legs/Torso, Arms/Heads above on the tins, and the weapons bottom right.
Now all I have to do is paint everything , lol. I went insane halfway through and didn't work on it for months.
bonus, I made this character sheet if anyone wants to use it

Well, after months of deliberation, I think I'm going to finally flog off my kingdom death collection on eBay UK in the next month or so. Thing is, though, the sheer weight of it puts me off listing it. And then there's the postage insurance. Anyone got any tips or thoughts?

The lack of instructions is one of the most disappointing parts of KD- that horrible phoenix, I've assembled three of them, and every time it's like the worst puzzle ever, but in 3D. Also, for anyone building arm sets, some of them don't match the correct #a/#b pairs, so be sure to dry fit them.
So... also a request- does anyone have the decorative insert that came with some of the early monsters? I think the flower knight and lion came with them. I'd be very interested in one.
I don't even know what they're called or what most of them are supposed to look like. Numbered parts would be great but hey, only newbies need numbered parts for model kits, amirite?

The narrow face goes with the two half manes and the weird cuppy thing for the lion
the narrow one with the big eyes is antelope, it's 's the same on both, with the big one having separate horns (the small one's whole)
the human head with the hands is the god, small one's complete, big one has the ornaments behind it to match
the phoenix is definitely the trickiest- the plumage with the circle in the middle- that's where you stick the bone beak lower jaw, the little round face with the cat sort of thing, the droopy bit's the mustache, the tongue somehow fits in there, and the big one gets more feathers to match the other side- haven't actually built that one but it's the only think that makes sense.
the big tooth one with the tentacle halo is the man mask, both are complete. same with the squinty face as the death mask and complete.
And yeah... just numbering related components like 5a through 5d would have gone a long way.
Well, correctly and/or intuitively numbering them. Why those horrible hands didn't start at one end and end at the other, I have no idea.
