Which race or faction would have the best chances of withstanding the DE's torturous methods?
Do Necrons feel pain? Can Orks and 'Nids feel pain?
What about Chaos. Perhaps the followers of Slaneesh enjoy being tortures. Discuss.

Dark Eldar can torture Followers of Slaanesh in the same way as they do their own - remove all forms of stimuli and wait........for a long time........
You can likely torture Necrons somehow if you can stop them from phasing out - whihc is possible but difficult.
Orks you can torture but they are more use in the Arena, its not like many will have anything useful to tell their captors?
Also the problem is the more you withstand the toruture - the more the Dark eldar like and try to bemore inventive.

If i recall correctly DE themselves enjoy the self-inflicted pain of there own torture methods. So in away the DE are resistant to it as they actaully enjoy it.

As I mentioned you don't torture Dark Eldar that way - you remove all stimuli and sensation and let them shrivel up and desicate - and/ or you offer to give them to She who thirsts or her minions.

Yeah I don't think you can inflict any kind of pain or discomfort on the rubricae, DE probably avoid them as much as possible as ficghting them wouldn't benefit DE in any way at all.

Pretty sure the SoB would be more tolerant than the credit you've given them. Women are naturally more resistant to pain - and battle nuns devoted to the core are probably more resistant to pain than SM's....

Although DE could probably start removing their gifts from Nurgle (if they had the protection equipment needed), my guess is that would be torture for them.

Interesting. I couldn't read them all - I'm exhausted, I just did a 6 page research paper - but it seems true. It just depends on the pain.

Cure their diseases - make them healthy .............. therre is a way to torture anyone I would think - mentally or physically - you just need to be imganiative and examine their weaknesses

I guess the problem is that there are few sources of fluff that do not appear somewhat "glorified" in the Sororitas' martyrdom...
"The youngest of Dominica's companions, Lucia was martyred after being captured by Recidivists, who gouged out her eyes and forced her to endure the screams of 1000 innocents as they were tortured to death before her. Unknown to Lucia, a group of her own Sisters were amongst those put to death, but it is said that not one of them uttered a sound as they endured their tortures, so as not to cause Lucia any more pain than she had already suffered."
Truth or fiction? Granted, the vast majority of stuff that makes Space Marines awesome is written in exactly the same way, but there it may be somewhat easier to believe, what with their heavy augmentations and physiological alterations. I suppose it is obvious to those knowing their fluff and their rules that the Sisters benefit from a higher pain threshold, both due to their convictions (and psychology plays an important role in this; have you heard of hypnosis used in lieu of painkillers?) as well as simply by being used to it as part of their daily rituals... The question is: how much higher?
/shrug
On another note, I do recall a remark in the Dark Eldar Codex (the bit about the kidnapped Strike Cruiser above Comorragh) that Space Marines are highly valued captives because they last a while.

First, we are talking about pain so things that dont feel any sort of pain should automatically be ignored (Rubric Marines, Gun Drones)
Second, I would like the point about the crazy amount of faith the Sisters of Battle have which allows them to do crazy gak. Remember that when factoring in results.
Chaos has the powers of the dark gods fething up their emotions so they may not care (Nurgle), simply piss them off (Khorne) or actually enjoy it (Slaanesh) so that should be remembered in results
Also Tau are fanatics with their whole Greater Good beliefs.
I wonder if some of us are forgetting those 3 things.

Well the original poster just said withstanding DE torture - which can take varied forms not just physical?
If it was just pain I would agree but there are other things that can be done.
re Necrons - I thought there was a WD report where they captured some Necrons?
