Great!

I Happen to love it though - and maybe they'll think about a re-design/add in some exterior ladders/elevators/etc. if enough people comment on it.

In fact, I think I'll go do that...now!

I really wished UK kickstarter had the same function with the US one I lost wave one pledge because of the card input.

Better do it quick, with a 14 day run time, you don't have very long.

Seems like Forward Base + has less value with all of the stretch-goal add-ons adding stuff that was already included in the '+' pledges.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding them.

once your card in in you don't need to put it in again. If you'd never used Amazon payments you'd have to register on an US KS

Well it is a bit more complicated the base is the bank disagrees with how UK kickstarter thinks they should validate a card.

I've used kickstarter/Amazon payments before and it still made me re-add my card details.

I know they calculated very sharply, or at least that is what they are saying, but 160 eur for 3 mdf containers (MASH level) with resin panels only - which admittedly are the nicest terrain brought out in a long while - that is not my definition of a "steal"... And then I would have to wait until June-August... I think I will wait until next year and just buy the panels (bunk beds especially) when they appear in shop... *sigh*

On the bright side, I will save that money to spend on Tabletopworld's next Xmas offer.

Currently playing: Infinity, SW Legion

These bots are great, super scenery, mission objectives, dioramas etc. I can already see myself hitting one with a hammer for some wrecked scenery.

If I wasn't in heavily already with MAS ans Sarissa Precision stuff, I'd be in BIG here.

I love the stuff they've shown so far - and all the detailing bits, exterior AND interior, really bring everything up a notch.

I still think I'll be in for a Tower and T.A.G. Bay with all the trimmings though!

It's definitely the resin, and the etched clear doors, that make this stuff really pop. Without that it's just another set of boxes on stilts that everyone in the future will apparently live in.

It kind of makes me wish I'd been able to back the Bug Hunt Corridors kickstarter - with those hexagonal cross-sections, the walls seem like they would take the AW interior panels really well.

Update #4

Nov 18 2014

Extra top-tier pledges to be made available...
Comment
3 likes

We've had a meeting this morning to discuss the many, many requests that we have had to open up new PLUS pledges and more of the top-tier building-only pledges.

We do not want to create a very extended or open-ended delivery schedule that would mean people are waiting a very, very long time for their buildings; that was the core reason for the Wave system to avoid an uncontrollable deluge of orders that surpassed our capacity to deal with within a reasonable period of time or, meant that there was an interminable wait for your items… it is something that we would not be comfortable with.

We've always calculated our capacity on the basis of a single-shift: that allowed us the time to ensure a timely dispatch should something unexpected occur: if we lost any days we could always run a 2nd shift to make up time.
This means that our “capacity” is on a single shift basis and in order to create more pledges we could simply say “OK, let’s do a double shift.”

Experience, however, tells us that this means you no longer have any spare capacity for when something does go wrong, and something always does go wrong. So we’re not happy to open more pledges to be fulfilled in a 2nd shift and we’re not going to do that.

At this point in time in the KS we are much farther ahead of where we anticipated we would be and we are now just about “at capacity” for our laser systems (with a pre-existing buffer for additional work through add-ons). (Resin we have oodles of spare capacity): However, we cannot simply increase the amount of large pledges without increasing our capacity, which means we would have to buy in new laser systems to be able to comfortably add new pledges to the KS.

We've made the decision to do that.

That means that we will be able to put up a new wave for additional extra top-tier building pledges and PLUS pledges. We are now working on a method for doing this that is as fair as possible and will cause the least disruption/confusion… and that may take a day or so to work out, but is now firmly in “The Plan™”

Once we've decided on how to proceed we will give plenty of advance notice of when the new pledges will open and how existing Power-Strain to Forward Base pledges may be upgraded to PLUS, rather than needing to cancel and re-pledge.

Please Note: This will not affect WAVE 1 delivery times.
WAVE 2 delivery times may move forward.
WAVE 3 delivery times will be posted with a notional dispatch of September 2015, however the anticipated dispatch will be June/July 2015.

Vehicles will be coming shortly, yes, just working on some supporting graphics.

Also to follow are the "Building Components" such as doors, windows, lights and so forth... the delay is rather down to be being ahead of where we thought we would be on day 2!

Individual habitat add on prices

Resin add on prices a scatter pack at retail is £7.50 so 10% discount on 1 pack and up to 33% if you buy 15 (£5 each)

Are those prices for real? Like 6 resin medical beds for 6.75?

I should think that that is possible as they are single piece (?) items that don't wreck the mould when they are removed

and they can get a decent throughput going as they'll have big enough volume of orders to justify making lots of individual moulds

I just asked. The prices are correct. The beds specifically are two pieces each and even come with accessories like scanners and IV bags. So this is officially the cheapest resin furniture in the scale, easily.

Well there's always a chance. Can always take inspiration from the designs even if I don't end up buying them too. At least I'm not here trolling the company because I don't like them =/

Good luck hopefully you get the UK rate, still not sure about the Republic of Ireland being the same as US and Canada and more than Andorra or Monaco! but I spoke to Jed about it and he said that's what the courier company came back with and that's a maximum cost. As I'm going for just resin I hope the pack will be below 2kg and it'll just be Royal Mail at cost.

EDIT: They confirmed Northern Ireland is UK rate £6
