Plummeting Black Templar Thunderhawk Pilot

Okay, i have a space marine army that play defensive/gunline with and i want to incorporate some GK allies.
So far I have played this and it seems pretty good.
HQ
Coteaz- 100
TROOPS
10 Terminators w/2 Psycannons, 2 Deamon Hammers, Brotherhood Banner, Psybolt Ammo, 6 Halberds - 495
HEAVY SUPPORT
Dreadnought w/2 Twin-linked Autocannons, Psybolt Ammo -135
But what other good combinations do you guys use?

Another possibility is to swap Coteaz for an OM Inquisitor with terminator armor, psycannon, and the primaris power from Divination to maximize the shooty goodness of him and the terminators. Coteaz is nice, cheap, and useful, but a third Psycannon could be good, too.

Well, it will largely depend on the main detachment.
Another useful detachment would have as a core:
2x 10 Grey Knights w/ 2 psycannon, daemon hammer, psybolt, Rhino.

You can get two full Strike Squads with double Cannons, Hammers, and Psybolts for the cost of those Terminators.

Yeah, but the terminators are so much more survivable.
And the second psychic power from Coteaz can be amazing.

Coteaz and a Psy toting inquisitor are pretty interchangeable, I prefer the Inquisitor due to the extra str 7 shots for a mere 10 pts more. 10 Terms are more survivable but pack less firepower, why settle for 2 psycannons when you can bring 4? And 10 terminators aren't exactly difficult to kill or neuter for a well-built army. Take a 2k gk army full of terms and play against a 2k gk army full of meqs, i'd put my money on the meq list winning due to higher amounts of bodies and an increase in amount of firepower. I strongly believe teq should rarely be taken because anti-infantry firepower is too big a focus of many armies given the shift in the meta-game.

You are assuming such because of having a 2+ save, but you would be wrong, as it isn't that simple.
For AP4-6, it takes 60 wounds to kill those 10 Terminators, it takes 60 wounds to kill those 20 Strikes.
For AP 3, it takes 60 wounds to kill those Terminators, it takes 20 wounds to kill those 20 Strikes.
For Ap1-2, it takes 15 wounds to kill those Terminators, it takes 20 wounds to kill those 20 Strikes.
So as you see, in most situations the Strikes are at least as survivable as the Terminators, if not more so. This is also not considering that condensed fire does more damage to the Termies as the Strikes are spread over two units.
And even then, you said you play a gunline, and a gunline is about rate of fire, not survivability.

Amen, not to mention that the primary detachment is fairly short on bodies to begin with. Automatically Appended Next Post: Amen, not to mention that the primary detachment is fairly short on bodies to begin with.

Yeah looking at the list now, it doesn't even closely resemble a gunline; it doesn't even have that much shooting.

So what would your 2000pt gun line list with SM and GK allies look like?

For the list above, Attack Bikes are out, Thunderfire Cannons are overdoing it, Rhinos are dead weight. Get more Tacs, Sternguard and some Devs. You don't need the Aegis Line for this army much, and given that the Quad Gun and the Dreads can do the same thing, I'd drop one or the other. Remember more bodies is more shooting. A good way to run Tacs is to always combat squad, leaving the Heavy Weapon sitting on a home objective and the Special moving across the field behind cover. As for the allies, myself and LValx have already made a good suggestion.
A list like this is a much better gunline:
Libby w/Null Zone and Gate of Infinity
OMI w/ TDA, Psycannon, ML1
10x Sternguard w/4x Combi-Melta, 6x Combi-Flamer, Drop Pod
10x Tacs w/Plasma Gun and Missile Launcher
10x Tacs w/Plasma Gun and Plasma Cannon
10x Strikes w/Psybolts, 2x Cannons, Hammer
10x Strikes w/Psybolts, 2x Cannons, Hammer
5x Devs w/4x Missile Launchers
5x Devs w/4x Missile Launchers
5x Devs w/4x Plasma Cannons
ADL w/ Quad Gun
This has a lot more of the staples of a gunline, that being bodies and lots of shots. 5 Psycannons, 5 Plasma Cannons, 9 Missile Launchers, 2 Plasma Guns, and 43 Bolters equivalents along with the added Comib shots and Quad Gun packs a lot of firepower, and something for everything to be scared about. If you need some added mobility for objective missions then you can Deep Strike the Grey Knights.
