Hello folks.
I have recently decided to start BFG, and to make BFG fleet for all my current (and planned) 40K armies, and decided to start with my first army Dark Eldar (which folk can give advice on too if they want), and an Angry Marines fleet.

This fleet will be led by the Battle Barge, Maximum F*@!, so it has to have a Battle Barge whether these are generally decent or not...
But other than that - what should my Angry Marines fleet contain?
What Space Marine ships would be best to get for my BFG collection?
What sort of thing makes a decent 'Take All Comers' list in BFG?

My knowledge of BFG is minimal - so full terms where possible please, and thanks in advance.

Torpedos, torpedos, torpedos.

Also Eldar are the most broken fleet in the game followed be Orks, Eldar just shoot and run away while orks spam 50+ ramming ships and kill everything.

Its like pulling teeth to play the game in my area.

Marines are going to want some strike cruisers. Id pick up some hunter destroyers and gladius frigates also. The nova frigates are nice but pretty pricy (points wise) so id stear clear of them unless your planning on playing some pretty big games.

I don't make the rules, I just think them up and write them down.

I've been told the 'standard' is 1500-2000 points?
But yeah... with a little more research:
Known Angry Marine ships:
Battle Barges:
Litany of Litany's Litany
Maximum F*@!
Killf*@! Souls#!%ter
T!%NUGGETS THE SECOND
EAT S#!% AND DIE
Strike Cruisers:
F*@!ING F*@!ED UP F*@!ERER OF fething feths (shaped like a power fist, with the bridge and radar sector being an upturned middle finger)
Arse Destroyer
Escorts:
Steroidal Rage

I'm tempted to get 2 Battle Barges (The Maximum F*@! is a given, and The Litany of Litanty's Litany maybe?)

But ultiamtely, what sort of numbers should I be looking at of each thing?
Capital Ships:
Battleships (1 per 3 Cruisers):
1-2 Space Marine Battlebarge
0-12 Cruisers:
3-6 Space Marine Strike Cruiser
Escorts (You may include any number of escorts in your fleet):
Space Marine Rapid Strike Vessels:
?-? Firestorm
?-? Sword
?-? Cobra
?-? Hunter Class Destroyer (GW) / Hunter Class Destroyer (FW)
?-? Gladius Class Frigate (GW) / Gladius Class Frigate (FW)
?-? Nova Class Frigate (GW) / Nova Class Frigate (FW)
(prefering the GW versions tbh... also unsure about the Firestorm / Sword / Cobra, as they're technically Imperial fleet vessels... and I'm unsure how well the Angry Marines owuld play with others. I'm leaning towards not.)

And how many Thunderhawks would I ideally need?
?-? Thunderhawk Gunships

You've clearly never played against the necrons.

Anyway, Battlebarges are very good. They are surprisingly tough with the 6+ armor all around and have the weapons to really dish out the damage. Get them when you are able to field them.

As for other stuff, the only choice is really strike cruisers. They are good... not battlebarge good, but still good as they are both carriers and also gunships and have that stupid space marine armor. Just build you fleet around BB's and SC's then sprinkle escorts where you feel you need them. I've seen some players not take any and still have a decent list.
