I am in the process of assembling 1 Defiler with Twin-Linked Lascannon and Power Sourge
I will eventually assemble the second Defiler, but not sure if I should keep the same loadout or go with keeping the Twin-Linked Heavy Flamer?

Since the battle cannon is ordnance, firing it makes all your other weapons shoot as snap shots. As such, I'd say power scourge and dreadnaught ccw is the only way to roll. Possibly with the speakers to prevent overwatch when you charge in, to taste.

Yep. Ditch any other ranged weapons.

Does the ordinance still make heavy flamer do only snapshots as well?

A heavy flamer cannot snap shot. Therefore, if you fire the battlecannon, the flamer can't fire at all.

Yeah. The only exception is when being charged. I feel that there's probably only 3 ways to go. 1: Shooty. (no upgrades at all, possibly Warpflame Gargoyles and nothing else, sit at the back and drop templates on things.) 2: Assaulty. (3 Power Fists and a Power Scourge, Dirge Casters and possibly Warpflame Gargoyles: Cannon > Assault.) 3: slowed. (Go nuts - give it 4 combi-weapons, either 3 the PF+PS, or Reaper Autocannon / Lascannons and 2 Havoc Launchers with Warpflame Gargoyles - it's around 250+ points, but it'll be funny.)

I thought it was only blasts that could not snapshot, and flamers in general were allowed to. Will have to check on that.

In Boxing matches, you actually get paid to take a dive and make the other guy look good.
In Warhammer 40K, you're expected to pay cash out of your pocket for the privilege of having Marines and IG trample all over your Xenos/Chaos. |

Ordnance says that if a non-vehicle fires an Ordnance weapon then it can't fire other weapons that phase nor will it be able to charge in the assault. Defiler is a vehicle (walker) correct?

All weapons that use a template - so Template, Blast, Large Blast, Apoc Large Blast, Barrage and Flamestorm weapons.
The exception being Template and Flamestorm weapons make D3 automatic hits in Overwatch.

I got caught out by that. Non-Vehicles firing Ordnance cannot fire anything else or assault after.
It's listed elsewhere in the book that vehicles firing it can only fire Snap-Shots otherwise.
It can however still Assault after.
