Need help with creating a 700pt army for a campaign that is happening at my local store and the points increase each week I just need help with making my army 700 pts and still be as deadly as possible.

I have commissar yarrick as my warlord for 185 pts so need help with the last 515pts what I have available is:

1x CCS

2x Veteran Squads with 3 or 2 special weapons depending on how I arrange them ( special weapons are generally plasma, melta or flamers)

1 x LRBT Demolisher variant

and Finally an Aegis Defense Line with quad Autocannon

or if you can make me an allied detachment usind C:SM then that would be useful but very minimal points.

609th Cadian- (1000 Points)
Lunar Knights (3000 Points)
High Elves (4000 Points)

Give the veterans 3x plasma or 3x melta (never flamers) and put them in Vendettas or Chimeras.

Remove Yarrick, as he's garbage in general and even worse in low-point games, and replace him with a 4x melta/plasma CCS in a Chimera or Vendetta.

Your final list:

CCS, 4x melta (rides in the Vendetta)

Veterans, 3x melta, Chimera

Veterans, 3x melta, Chimera

LR Demolisher

Total: 695 points.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

campaign rules are my warlord and his trait remain the same and atm he is my best option for my warlord mainly due to the fact of how I use my army but thanks for the list I will be able to use that at some point in the campaign

Yarrick is garbage no matter what. There is no army or strategy that makes him useful. Escape the trap before you're committed to a garbage character for an entire campaign, and replace him with a useful CCS.

Unfortunately, Peregrine is right. Yarrick is a point dump and isn't useful comparatively. IG aren't a codex of good Special Characters. I'd strongly advise a CCS; they're useful at any point level, and much more point efficient.

I'm interested to hear how you use guard that make use of Yarrick. The only way I've ever seen him used to any effect is in an Ogryn death star, and even that is crap when you think about what you could buy with comparable points.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...
