Hey all, Travis (DA/IG player) here, saying thanks to all who showed up and hope all had as much a good time as I did. Good fun/ challenging group hope to run to you lot in future events. Grats to the winners all that lot.

How many showed? Winners?

Small event (16?) showed - Can't remember names but remember armies just fine, I know Blackmoor did show up, I tied him for Battle Points (so 2nd in terms of Best General )

Winning list was Sisters/Space Marines
Best General was Necrons (4 Points away from you buddy...Damn that last deployment! lol)
Best Paint/Sports was Space Marines.

Josh won with SoB with vanilla marine allies. Fairly tame list, aside from abusing the whole StCelestine never giving warlord point thing. His Thunderfire Cannon and and hallucinate sure pushed in my p00p, but the deployment that last round was rough too. It was fun playing 150 guardsmen on foot, but like hell if I am doing that again for a two day event. I had awesome games all around, even though that last scenario pretty much boned me. No drama and a lot of tough but fun games. I think the Necron guy won best general, if memory serves.

Joshua and I were in the lead going after 4 rounds and we ended up playing each other.

He ended up beating me.

Learning points:
Kill Seraphim first!
Don't play him when Fast Attack are scoring.
Put Dark Reapers in the bastion if you do not have fortune.

It was a real close game and I made some mistakes. Next time we will see how it goes.

Yeah, I think the most interesting game I had all weekend was the one with Ian, but our round one game was a close second. Granted, taking out the bastion on turn one with a one in a million shot made it more of a game, but you were never really not in the driver seat during our game. Still the manuevering around and target choices were really what made that game stand out. If I had it over again, I would probably not gambled my special weapon teams away on grav chute insertion, especially since you were not threatening my blobs in any meaningful way.

Hi everyone its Keith the Deathwing player. New to DA and learned alot of stuff to do differently. Will be back to the next slaughter, had a blast. Next time taking leave so I'll be there the whole time.
