I'm currently painting up a Imperial Fist army for a commission. The client wanted to take the miniatures from the Dark Vengeance box set, remove all traces of the Dark Angels heraldry (except feathers) and paint them up as Imperial fist. He also provided some Imperial Fist characters and regular space marine box set squads to be painted also. So the first few pictures below are from the Dark Vengeance box set conversions.

As always, happy for feedback and comments and votes in the gallery

Great paintjob, but the hoods, wings, and robes have got to go.

He did a good job converting what Dark Vengeance gives you imo. It's pretty difficult to convert those DA.

Some of the Finecast Veterans have Tabards so not much of a stretch to think other Vets have Robes.

They look awesome. The only thing that's a little off for me is the wings and winged farings on the bikes; those feel a bit too Ravenwing. Otherwise these are really outstanding, and of course that was the client's choice, so job well done!

Nicely done but do imperial fists have wings and robe decals?

I've always been a fan of showing the imperial eagle... and to me he's removed enough DA icons that these would fit into a IF army without trouble, especially the librarian.

Heck, the bikes with wings could simply be sergeants or vets.

Thanks for that. The Iconography on the shoulders were painful as i had to knife most of it off, the sand it back and make sure that the sanding kept the rounded shoulder shape. Other then that, the rest of it came off pretty easy (was not intermixed with the model much).

I don't mind the robes though the client wanted the feathers. Robes and space marines in general still do mix nicely - being battle brothers and the whole gothic setting

Amazingly done yellow there and nice clean jobs all around. I especially like the chaplain.

But, I definately don't care for the wings .. not on Imperial Fists.
