this list is a tribute to my grandpa, who served in the 82nd airborne in WW2. in honor of him I'm making a list themed around airborne orks. the list is 2000 points, but as it stands I have three problems: first I have 60 points left over that need to be filled. second currently the big mek and the painboss have no where to go. and third is that I worry about my anti-tank ability. if anyone has any ideas on how to fix these problems I'm open to suggestions. here's the list as it stands:

HQ
Big Mek: power klaw (the model already has it before I made it my big mek so ) KFF, heavy armor: 115 pts
Pain Boss: power klaw, cybork body, heavy armor, bosspole: 95 pts

Elites
none

Troops
unit of 10 spana boyz: mek, big shoota: 75
unit of 10 spana boyz: mek, big shoota: 75
unit of 10 spana boyz: mek, big shoota: 75
unit of 10 spana boyz: mek, big shoota: 75
unit of 10 spana boyz: mek, big shoota: 75
unit of 10 spana boyz: mek, big shoota: 75

Fast Attack
squadron of 2 warkoptas: 1 TL rattler cannon each, each has red paint job: 160
squadron of 2 warkoptas: 1 TL rattler cannon each, each has red paint job: 160
squadron of 2 warkoptas: 1 TL rattler cannon each, each has red paint job: 160
squadron of 2 warkoptas: 1 TL rattler cannon each, each has red paint job: 160
squadron of 4 deffkoptas: 1 TL rocket launcher each: 180
squadron of 4 deffkoptas: 1 TL rocket launcher each: 180

heavy support
unit of 10 lootas: 3 meks, 3 big shootas: 150
unit of 10 lootas: 3 meks, 3 big shootas: 150

the strategy for this list is to have units operating in pairs, two spanna boyz units working together in a squadron of warcoptas. one squadron will carry the lootas to provide fire support. the idea is that this list plays similar to a DE list, where the goal is pinpoint hit and run strikes with objectives waiting until the late game.the warkoptas work sort of like a DE venom, but with the ability to carry the transport capacity of a raider. this list is slightly more durable than a DE list given that every unit has a mek to repair the transport if it becomes damaged. the deffcoptas work as both screening and tank hunting. I think this list will work well once I solve the current problems, although any input on my strategy would be most appreciated.

I'd be tempted to use the extra 60 points to put more TL rocket launchers on the deffkoptas for a bit more anti tank capability.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Well they all have tl rocket launchers already, when I say 1 each, I mean 1 each vehicle not one each unit.

I'd go 1 pk per unit of deffkoptas for that last 60pts

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

The easy way is always mined

Why not just use the ork codex and fill the war koptas with nobs? I can't see the benefit of using the ia8 list when the warkopta is 40k ork approved now.

Standard Nobz are a rip off, and I'm pretty sure theres a rule that stops you from putting mega nobz in warkoptaz iirc.

I know IA: apocalypse said it was 40k approved, but did they finally say what the FOslot was? I'm assuming it's FA, but did they finally come out and say what FO slot it was? if they did then I could see turning this list into a regular orks list with some dread mob allies (my grandpa was a medic, there must be a pain boss in there) if you can tell me where to find where FW says that the warcopta is FA then I will convert this list into a regular codex orks list.

I asked at fw open day and they said it was fast attack. I would be happy to play you as a fast attack choice.

Ask fw to clarify on an email if in doubt......run loads of nobs and burnas ftw

Good luck with it
