And he is every bit as sexy as advertised. He was a beast to pin, though. I'm so scared with such big metal kits.

How difficlut would it be to mover his rifle arm inwards? I like the model and thinking about buying one but with the arm out to the side like that the stock pose is bit goofy looking.

The good news about that is that there are pieces covering the shoulder joint, so you can go nuts changing it at that point. But the forearm is in 2 pieces and the hand and wrist are part of the gun.

Yes, please. Sorry, been busy with domestic stuff recently.

No worries, only just read this thread yesterday!

I've converted mine because the pose simply wasn't baddass enough, I do have unpainted pics too if you prefer. A lot of my gaming group agreed that he looks so much better armoured up!

Right, I do have to take you up on MY offer to let you beat me up.

Try. Fail. Try again, fail again. But better.

Can't decide if that's an insult or not ... If someone said one of my battlesuits looked like something out of Evangelion, I'd be insulted, to be sure - I loathed that series. Not that big a fan of Gundam or Robotech, either ...

Thanks, Koganstyle. That decided me. I'm getting the Dragao now instead. The Jotum just requires way too much work to make that chest look anything BUT tacked on. It's like a 98lb weakling wearing a new leather jacket (still stiff). The drag still needs work (ammo feed will be shortened for one, and the mount for the shoulder cannon will be reworked).

that chest piece IS glued on - I needed to see where the chest external armour pieces would fit round the newly built shoulder. Its flat chested normally.

I went super kosher on it, same palette as the original artwork, mostly. He looks yellowish, but the armour is white, I assure you.
C&C welcome.

Works for me!

I've had a Hassassin Muyib nearly done for months, and this weekend my brother wants an intro game. I bashed out a 100pt list, and that Muyib made it in, so it's getting finished tonight.

VERY nice!

Is that all 'traditional' brush work or do you airbrush too?

Me too =P But now that I have pretty much every models that interests me in the factions I own, I would need to start an other faction =P And I'd really like to have a couple more painted figs before that haha
And painted terrain =P

My airbrush only does large areas like camo on tanks and set pieces. I have not been able to find a shop that would sell smaller tips (I'd like to see them and talk to someone about it before buying, so online is no-go)

All of it is traditional brushwork. Painstakingly long, but worth it! (I was on work stop due to bronchitis for the past three days, so I tried to be productive)

Von: You just need an airbrush like m ine for your terrain and a swift kick up the hmmm.

That looks fantastic man! Great job. I'd love to have my guys up against that.

You don't necessarily need a small tip. An airbrush is great for doing base colors. Even Giraldez just uses it for base coats. He masks off areas he doesn't want the color to be used.

Yes it is, but after that, water colour techniques don't really stand a chance. It still lays a thicker base coat than what I can use.

For 40K style armies, I'm there. For skirmish games, I try to spend as much time as I can painting each one.

I got a box of Odalisques for Christmas. The resin that I was using mysteriously failed to glue two of them, so they remain in the box. Also, I managed to snap off the barrel of the contender while doing flash removal, whoops. Not the best assembly process ever.

On the plus side, the two assembled ones are starting to get painted in preparation for a game on Tuesday, and the models look amazing. Though Infinity models always make me feel like I'm going blind.

Why do you think you're going blind?

I'd love to get my hands on that box set. They are dead gorgeous ladies.
