You had a bad experience ordering your gf online?
But seriously - pre paid visa debit cards are pretty good for people a bit leery of ordering online, though I'm not sure if they're available in your country. In Australia, you can pick them up at a post office, and can be loaded with money without being tied to your bank details.
You won't have any issues with fraud when buying straight from Forgeworld, and they're very good at replacing models that arrive miscast, damaged or that not even arrive at all. However, if you try to get them cheap by ordering from ebay, you're opening yourself up to getting counterfeit models.
The Dark Apostle wrote:soo do you think they should sell forgeworld in store? ive heard of some
GW shops doing this but not many and they have a bad selection. when i said this to the workers of my hobby store they seemed angry and said "we dont deal directly with forge world." what happened, did forgeworld sleep with your wife?
If it's a
GW store - most likely because it's a different sales channel to them, and can be a bit of a hassle. Why
GW doesn't just tie them into their regular sales channels I have no idea, but they seem to like keeping them separate. If it's a non-
GW FLGS, I know some don't like ordering them them because, being resin, you get miscasts, and they probably don't want the customers coming back to them for replacements on special orders.
Your best bet is to buy directly from Forgeworld. You might pay more than you would from ebay, but you know you're dealing directly with Forgeworld. You'll get excellent service from them. The only issue is your reluctance to buy online, but there's really no getting around it. Like I said, try to get a hold of a pre paid debit card if you can.
