Just a few questions about running certain units here are a few im really just looking for criticism and general opinion

***How should i run spawns? I was thinking of running 4 with mark of nurgle with a nurgle bike lord with the burning brand and a fist

***For heavy support choices i take 5 Havocs with 3 missilie( 2flakk ) and an autocannon
and 4x NurgleOblits (in two seperate squads of course)

***For fast attack ive had luck with the HellTurkey , and nurgle bikes, but i was thinking of using 7 raptors with 2meltaguns and a powersword

***for troops i use 3-4 5man plague marine squads with 2 plasmaguns and i run a 25man cultist squad with a nurgle terminator lord on a palanquin he stands in front and takes most of the saves if i dont run the nurgle bike lord i give him the burning brand

So let me know what you think guys what are all the other chaos players running these days, ive been having a pretty good track record, the lists at my store are pretty competitive dark eldar with raider and viper spam, necron flyer spam, necron wraith spam, guard blast spam, guard power axe spam... it gets pretty gnarly at times my games are always bloodbaths, ive had cultists turn into princes and my lord turn into spawn, but its all fun and games and what else can i say aside from i fething love this game

I prefer to run my Chaos Lords with Bikes and run Spawn with no one or with a sorcerer.

1 it separates your fearless units, so less things run away.
2 it means your chaos lord has some other guy to feed to the stupid MUST CHALLENGE rule in the new codex



For Havocs, dont mix. You want 4 of the same thing, so the best would be 4 autocannons or 4 lascannons.





You cannot have a palanquin AND terminator armor. I know, I tried. Either is good though as your have it with the burning brand and with cultists.

why 5 raptors? Is that what you have? 5 with 2 meltas is fine.

do you put a power weapon in the bike squad if so how many?


How many spawns do you run?

I run 7 raptors

and why not mix? its 165pts it can effect air craft, and medium/light vehicles you should know i do not run any fortifications

My input is this: bring a hellturkey. At least in my area, everyone is obsessed with how mech is dead. So there are a lot of meqs that are not in metal bawkses because they are scared of the hull point system.

You shouldn't mix because they should all be targeting one thing. Flakk missiles suck by the way. Too expensive... painfully so actually and are not efficient at downing fliers. For the cost your better off using a Forge Fiend stock.

Exergy has it right, go all AC or all LC and buy them the MoN.

don't over spend upgrading your challege fodder unit champs in bikes. Just buy him a combi weapon and MAYBE a PW and call it good.

I run all my champions naked or with a lightning claw. It looks really cool to have crackling power weapons everywhere but they arent worth it with the challenge system on 1 wound models.

I run 5 spawn, I tend to max my FA slots as they are the best slots in the book.

165 points that isnt great against aircraft, is rubish against heavy vehicles, and is ok against light vehicles.
115 for 4 autocannons havocs can do the same thing. they arent great against aircraft, but they do ok. they are rubish against heavy vehicles and they are ok against light vehicles.
155 for 4 lascannons havocs are slightly different. they are rubish against cheap aircraft, but they do ok against the AV12 ones that flakk missiles and autocannons have trouble with. they are great against heavy vehicles and they are ok against light vehicles.

Both cost less than your mix and match and will perform better. Adding in MoN is like adding a wound catcher. It will make them survive longer at additional cost.

yea i like the 4 las cannon config

What are the spawns main use, what do you throw them into, would you throw them at a unit of wraiths?

I love the FA choices as well i usually go with Nurgle bikes and the hell turkey but i recently found some old raptors and some chaos spawns, how are you kitting out for FA slots because i was goign to use 4nurgle spawns, hellturkey and nurgle bikes

On another note what does everybody think of MoS bikes with the FNP icon?
