Backstage at a Blueman group concert while I was waiting for the show to get going. I remember typing out a post as the "blue men" were warming up for the show not 20 feet away. In the green room area for the crew for woodsongs when we had the Osbourne's (bluegrass ones, not Ozzy) at the bourbon distillery show. Backstage for the Marshall Tucker Band during the Vice Presidential Debate. At an American Legion bar where I was running sound for a band in between sets, and I think I made one post like 10 minutes before the ball dropped this new years at that bar. Not to mention countless posts made during those good old "hurry up and wait" moments during Load ins and load outs for countless bands, presentations, and other random things I've worked on.

I got another good one. Am Israeli/serve in the IDF reserves and dakka'd from the Gaza border during their recent shennanigans. Dakka'ing from a warzone whilst you hear IRL dakka in the distance makes things even more dakka.

So surreal, hur hur, I thought I was the only one. Similarly for me, checking dakka as a Range Officer in the Army. Real dakka makes DakkaDakka more dakka!

Other than that, erm, waking up in the middle of the night in bed with the significant other and not being able to go back to sleep... because I had a burning YMDC question that needed to be answered.

Was doing a fire alarm evacuation test at a shopping center and I was supposed to making the announcements but got distracted reading Dakka on my phone and had several people yell at me over a walkie talkie!

Slightly more on topic, I think perhaps in addition to the other places I have dakkaed in an earlier post in this tread dose the memory of me reading a tread while on the Norwegian/ Russian border in the far north of Norway, I have neve rbeen so cold while reading about someone who had a grudge against a newly released codex.

I did happen to stop and try to check the news and rumours thread whilst having a scramble on the Cuillins. ...Pity however that the internet connection's terrible up there (I guess people are supposed to be looking at the view instead of trying to set up a playlist of Lord of the Rings' music).

If you had one foot on either side then that would be an awesome place, because you would have Dakka'd in two places at once!
