Hey guys,

I want to make a Slaanesh themed army. Since I just recently started with the hobby, decided to start CSM and the new codex just came out, I wanted to convert cultists out of wyches/daemonettes, but since I'm a beginner, I'm a bit afraid about converting that much figures for starters. (because afterwards I found out cultists are better used in big packs)

I switched my mind, started thinking of using the female wyches as base for noise marines, but they're so slender, so I don't really know if they suggest the power armor enough. I should come up with some more fluff, so I don't know if I'm going to mix males/females, but don't start arguing over female marines ^^ The question is how to make them, because I just want them to have power armor to count as a marine.

Since I've looked up a lot on this one already, and saw the pics of doctor thunder I really started liking the 'marine' look from the girls.

Should I just take chaos marines and replace the heads, + maybe try the greenstuff rework on the breastplate such as dr. Thunder did (as on the marines; it is much more subtle)
I noticed space marine scouts are maybe a better option with headswaps, because the legs and arms are less bulky, while still retaining the power armour look.
Or go for the wych conversion, such as the sisters of silence but ofcourse with other heads/weapons/symbols.
I just don't know if anyone would complain about the last ones not being obviously power armour, or as protective as it?

Does anyone know a company where I can order cool female heads which fit on marine miniatures? I know hasslefree, but just like those, anything will come without hair I guess?

Haha! I also just started an Emperors children army!

wyches would make good cultist but definately not noise marines. Not bulky enough for a 3+ save

Yeah I tought that, but sisters of battle do have a 3+ and I don't know if sisters of silence have the same stats? It's just the looks that change right?
So I tought maybe with adding shoulderspads or marine gloves (if they'd fit) they would stand out more? But I haven't got an idea of the sizes :/ by painting some of the skin (around the waist/legs) as if it were clothing they should seem less naked also.

Vrall has some sisters of battle in power armour, used the bodies and heads from this site
http://www.meowmeowminis.com/
they came out very well, I've been using them for female khorne marines, they're a bit smaller then regular marines but work
also try putting the female dark eldar hellion heads on regular csm bodies, gives them a darker look but doesn't have such a female look as the SOB
anyway good luck, hope this helps

Wow! Thanks, that's really some inspiration and a big help.
His other conversions from dark eldar legs and SM torsos and torsos from the site are also interesting, + he has got a comparison with a normal marine. This is all I need, I'll just compare everything and decide what I prefer ^^

If you have some GS, hobby knife and a file (nail files work, just make sure they're small enough), I'd buy some DE Wyches, a basic pack of CSM, and some SoB to convert (Mainly regular Battle Sisters and Sisters Repentia). Just get rid of the Imperial markings on the SoB minis, swap some bitz from the different packs around, fill gaps with GS, and give them a nice paintjob. It maybe take time, but as you'll be working with so many minis it would be great practice.

Your best bet is to use sisters of battle miniatures. They're already women, and they're already wearing power armor. Plus, traitor sisters would be kind of cool, especially in a proper slaanesh color scheme.

Wyches for cultists sounds like a good idea, but wyches for marines does not. They don't look anywhere close to well-armored enough, and it would be a pain to convert them to holding onto bolters.

I'm really afraid of working with metal figures. I read and heard that plastic is really easy to cut and convert. So I don't really know if I have to courage to start with metal ones :p
If the SoB came in plastic, that's what I would have done for sure!
But the wyches legs + csm torsos seem dark/bulky enough for me. Only need to find some head swaps or look up some wych sprues for head options ^^

The only reason GW isn't putting out plastic SoB is because their stock of metal ones isn't gone. We need to buy 'em all first. Also, the sisters are pretty thin, so cutting them would be easier than cutting up an Ork Warboss for instance. Plus, they come in enough components to just swap out bits and bobs with the ones you'll get in the CSM and Wyches boxes. Remember, YOU'LL NEVER RUN OUT OF BITS.

EVER.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the Wyches sprues can be seen on the GW site, and those are pretty much 2 per box. Basically WYSIWYG.

Yeah, metal is WAY more of a pain in the ass to work with than plastic. That said, you're going to have to do a LOT of conversion work to turn this:

into this:

Even if it's easier to convert, you're going to have to do so much work so as to make the experience as a whole too frustrating.

Meanwhile, sisters already have women in power armor with bolters:

And because sisters are part of the imperium, and chaos WAS part of the imperium, they have all the same weapons more or less, whereas with dark eldar you'd have to convert them all.

Oh the irony, converting sisters of silence to noise marines. Check some non gw websites for girl heads. Honestly I would just leave the breast plates as they are. In the grim darkness of the 41st millenium, girls do not have tits big enough to make custom made power armor worthwhile. Unless something has gone horribly wrong and anime has infected the warp. I shudder at the thought. Just use normal chaos marine heads and maybe (if you can) green stuff the armor to slightly exentuate the hips and the chest.

one way you could go about doing this is adding corsets and daemonette head to the existing chaos marines. thisgives them a much more feminine look but also stops them from looking like marines with boobs (though that being said there's no reason why you couldnt add some slight bumps to the torso).

here are some that I did, they're not fully female (as is the way with slaanesh ) but with the addition of wych heads, the odd un-armoured, slender arm here and there and bulk out the hips and you could get pretty close to fully female marines ^^
