I'd criticize however you put "Unstoppable" in the thread title so obviously you don't want me to tell you that its not.

Spoiler:
Read: far from unstoppable.

Yes, nice and all, but for 190 points I can get 25 guardsmen with 2 grenade launchers. Or 20 guardsmen with 4 plasma guns. BS4 plasma guns mind you

I'm not a SW player, but isn't a Rune Priest an HQ choice? You can't take HQ choices in Kill Team games.
12 marines isn't bad though, but where's the leader? What are the specialists?

Neat thing about kill team...nothing is really unstoppable. Thats sorta why it is fun to play.

But my 30 ork boys kill team would not be to upset about 12 marines.

I'd say make it 1 FOC selection, get 10 models and a free second plasma weapon, then spend the other points in upgrades so not every model has identical gear.

I'm with anyone who indicates there is no 'unstoppable' 200 pt army. There is a hard counter for everything. There are no exceptions.

as for 12 grey hunters? *shrug* A decent force, but not really good vs horde. Off the top of my head: 4 psykers, 1 crusader, 4 deathcult assassins, and 3 plasma-acolytes should have little trouble with such.

Big blast to thin, plasma to finish the job. (or the assassins in close combat if they get charged.)

Unit coherency rules don't apply in Kill Teams, so it's quite probable that you won't be able to catch more than 1 or 2 at a time even with a large blast weapon.

Should be enough; the large blast outranges everything on the other side (i think) so the grey knight kill-team can just shuffle back until the odds are more in their favour.
edit: also there is more than enough points left over for a chimera for them to ride around in style. (and get some additional shooting from)

Nothing is unstopable -- Me takin two Pysker Battle Squads would crush you easy -- or i could even just take a Vet squad with Triple Plasma and a Chimera --- Thats only 160 points -- or perhaps i could just take a Tech preist with servioters with 5 Multi-Meltas for only about 185 ? 10 stormtroopers with 2 plasma for 195

O h even Better - i could take a Leman Russ Demolisher with Melta sponsons how bout that one eh ?

8 Flamers + Pyrocaster maybe? Or 8 Screamers?

Actually, how does that work? Are daemons unplayable in kill team because they must start in reserve?

1 quick note you can't take HQ, heavy support or flyers, so no rune priest, no Valkyrie

A. your psb's wouldn's do much in a kill team as each guy is their own squad so launching a bunch of s1 pie plates everywhere wont do much
B. no heavy support in Kill Team

There is a problem with that list. You can't field Henchemen without an Inquisitor. An Inquisitor can't fit in the FOC as no HQ units are allowed.

Good point. It doesn't really say that in the Grey knight codex itself, but the blasted FAQ appears to be clear on that ruling.

Ah well, back to the drawing board.

Oh yeah. I don't think there's an 'unstoppable' Killteam build (though I would suspect Neron Deathmarks or Wraiths would stomp anything else available except possibly some sort of horde), but there are definitely some good ones out there.

I suspect it'd be a lot of fun to run out one paladin with a mastercrafted psycannon as a pseudo-'heavy support' for a squad of 6 strike squad marines.

A little light on the bodies though, the kill-team rules preclude using any of the cheaper stuff in the 'dex.

What about tervigons? 3D6 a turn is horrible in small point games!

Perhaps, though a Grey Hunters squad with 2 Plasmaguns or a Dark Angels Tactical squad with a Plasmagun and a Plasma Cannon might cause that one a bunch of headaches.

Do army limitations apply in kill team (e.g. 1+ fire warriors)
