What Space Marine Chapters go with what Imperial Guard regiments the best?

For sake of simplicity I'll stick to the most iconic of the two armies.

For Space Marines:
Ultramarines
Space Wolves
Dark Angels
Black Templars
Blood Angels
White Scars
Imperial Fists
Salamanders
Raven Guard

For Imperial Guard:
Cadian
Catachan
Steel Legion
Death Korps of Krieg
Vostroyan
Valhallan
Tallarn
Mordian Iron Guard
Tanith


Basically what I'm asking are which ones everyone thinks from each list whether fluff wise, personal choice or just which ones look coolest together? If I missed any of what people consider the most iconic feel free to throw it up. I question Crimson Fists but I thought Imperial Fists covered both well enough.

Ravenguard pair better, and have been paired with Elysians.

Imperial Fists would pair well with Steel legion, DKOK, or Cadians.

SW with Valhallans (makes sense.)

BA with Elysians, Catachans, or Cadians

White Scars with Steel Legion or Tallarn

Ultrasmurfs would pair well with all but Catachans.

I like Black Templars and Dkok, tons of fanatical dudes refusing to give ground

If you read a little about the Armageddon wars, you'll see a lot of which chapters/regiments worked together.
Similarly the IA books have such things in them.

I always liked the Space Wolves/Valhallan grouping but I never thought of the DKok/Black Templars that just sounds awesome!

Black Templars and Steel Legion. Go read Helsreach. Yarrick and Helbrecht are BFFs.

Glad you decided not to include the Tanith in your list. The sissy Space Marines couldn't keep up with them
