Fun Report well brought, any chance we can see armylists?

observations on the nid side: why no doom and why hormagaunts and no Gargoyles?

You have ruled this galaxy for ten thousand years
Yet have little of account to show for your efforts
Order. Unity. Obedience.
We taught the galaxy these things

And we shall do so again.

The Tyranid list was something like this:

2 x winged hive tyrants, 2 twinlinked devourers, rulebook powers, old advesary on one of them.

2 x Tervigons, poison and furios, catalyst

2 x 10 termagant

2 x 30 hormagaunts

3 x 3 hive guards

I don't have the exact IG list, but it goes something like this:

HQ in chimera

3 vendattes with small squads, flamers and mortars

2 x basilisks

1 manticore (I think the tank that I call a medusa is - yeah, there are a coupe of firsttimer mistakes in there, but I will keep practicing.)

1 infantry unit on foot

4(I think) chimeras with units with three plasma guys in each.

The reasons I don't field gargoyles is 1) I don't own the models and 2) I need a LOT of scoring miniatures to hold out against necron flyer spam.

I favor the hive guards over DoM, but with all the 6th ed infantry going around maybe I should consider bringing him back again

Doom is considered cheesy and undercosted in my meta. Kudos on the win without using him!

Been out of the game for awhile, trying to find time to get back into it.

He is cheesy, but IG, space wolves, DE, Tau and others should have no problem dealing with him....assuming he doesn't get Iron Arm.

The Doom is for real in this edition. Hive guards are not as necessary as they used to be in 5th. You can afford to drop 1 unit of them.

The DoM is easily converted from a Zoan, but how about Mycetic Spores? Does anyone know of alternative models being sold as stand in for the Spore? Or perhaps an easy way to scratch build?

Mega blocks brand sells toys called "dragon universe" that come in nifty plastic spore-shaped eggs. The size is just right too and each toy only costs $11. Search online at Walmart.com or amazon. I bought 3.
