Ha, yeah good point.
As they say; "a picture says a thousand words", and to write out the instructions was far too long. So I drew a picture.

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.

I found a local record store! I spent hours with the owner today. Asking about equipment, etc. He Pulled out Wilco: A Ghost is Born, a record I know so intimately that I know every little background noise in the recording. He played tracks for me on different turntables, and Damn could I hear a difference on this one!
This all started last night when Ladygeek and I were at the mall shopping, and much to my surprise, there was a new Record store there too! I found all three Wilco and Billy Bragg Mermaid Avenue records on 180 Gram Vinyl, and she bought them for me!! ! Mermaid Avenue is a collection of lost Woody Guthrie songs that he never recorded music for, just Lyrics. Billy Bragg and Jeff Tweedy wrote music to go with the lyrics.

It's Americana Vik, A mix of Rock, Blues, Folk etc. Each track is a bit different. Woody Guthrie was a Post-War folk singer, by definition, but his music is timeless imho.
Wilco was originally classified as Alternate COuntry in the late 90s, but they have evolved into their own thing nowadays. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is their "White Album" to me, everything since just keeps getting better

Billy Bragg is ok, As an album listener, I just take his songs as part of the package. I am more of a fan of Wilco.
You can't really classify them like you used to do with bands. Singer/songwriters- not these modern-era showboats who don't even write their own stuff.
I'm only really into older country, stuff like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings. Drinking-country The stuff that when it comes onto the jukebox in the bar, the whole bar starts singing along.

I'm pretty sure I have her CDs in the basement somewhere. I never was into punk much, though friends were, ever hear of the coors?(I'm not talking the beverage either one of my friends in school believed it was wrong that a family that beautiful was just wrong, and had no right to have musical talent as well.
@dave, there's an awesome record store here in saint louis named "vintage vinyl" been around for decades and is near chuck berrys restaurant "blueberry hill".

There's a great record shop in Birmingham called "hard to find records". It was both filled with records (some of which I assume must have been rare) and it was quite difficult to find the actual shop...

I have a bookshelf full of vintage vinyl at my mom's house I'll have to bring home and listen to again. All my latest buys have been newer pressings though. I'm amazed at what newer releases and re-masters are available at the stores nowadays. The heavier 180g vinyl is supposed to be less prone to warping too, which is often a problem when buying vintage records that may have been stacked on their sides in attics for decades.
