Soon a happy/better new year to all of you...
We've just finished rogue one...man ...I am filled up with emotions...all that a force awakens was not this film had it...and plenty more...  my wife told me she was depressed due to the ending...and I understood her for that...that film messed me up good and proper...too bad that all the heroes didn't make it... but it nevertheless felt just damn right too...gosh...it makes you feel in need of a drink...

My son Oskar instantly wanted us to do just that...but we're celebrating new year and so on and my wife can cope with one sw movie a day...more and we get stormy weather 
But it is an inevitable feeling to see that one right after...especially after that finishing scene...
Btw how did you find the computer animated characters done? My wife found them obvious...but for me especially that grey haired one was quite convincing...if but a bit stiff in the shoulders...

The one in white was obvious, but a certain Former Governor was given a pretty decent effort considering his numerous scenes. The voice was more off than the CGI to me.

Corrugated cardboard... yeah, not something to use if you want any sort of precision. You'd have to mix and match with other forms of cardstock. I generally avoid the corrugated stuff.
Done right, a scale model of your house would be a worthy display piece for all to see. (That is to say: something for a cabinet in a prominent place in the living room or foyer or wherever.)

Thanks for the compliment. Normally I work with just the cardstock, Vik. Cardboard is a mess for most everything except structural stuff... Thing is, I can't stand the smell/fumes of the glues used for plasticard. It's a very useful material though.
Dave, you did not miter the corner? Or rabbet it? I like seeing the WIP on the cutting board. A nice way to show the measurements.
Back to the scale house...adjust the scale to fit whatever you have for the interior walls ( they are usually 4 1/2" thick IRL here in the US.). This saves a lot of head-aches.

The idea behind this rather frustrating practice is to create a stylized Empire half-timbered building, so the cardboard will be the structural base, and all the surface will be covered with Timber frame and Wattle and daub, hopefully strengthening it somewhat. No, angles, I can do that by eye with plastic, but not corrugated. Inside corners will be reinforced, although I still think they will be the weak spot.
It's rather fun though, challenging myself to make it something it's not intended to be.
I also got my rivetite whetted a bit with a couple of bases for a couple of odd Necromunda Sculpts I didnt yet have. Getting these ready for priming now
Fumes? LOL the very FIRST thing I did on my shiny new cutting mat is spill my MFing bottle of PlasticWeld

Nice to see you picking up figures again, bases look good, building is looking very promising, high expectations.
And the glue spill was inevitable, every time I get a new mat it is lucky to last a couple hours before soiling.
