I was looking to add an attack bike and 2 regular bikes to my blood angels army but i am having a problem finding what exactly comes in the boxes. DO the boxes give me all the options that are listed in the codex or am is there an upgrade sprue i need.

If anyone knows what in them i would really appreciate it.

thanks

If youre talking about the regular Codex Marines one, it comes with 3 bikes, the captain, melta and plasma are metal and attached to the chest. You can however just make them regular bikers with whats there.

The attack bike comes with a MM and a HB.

would it be possible to magnetize the side car to the attack bike?

I don't recall. I think they are attached, and not separate pieces, but I am not sure.

You could, the sidecar is attached by a tab that glues to the bottom of the bike. It might be easier to glue the sidecar on a 60mm base and magnetize the bike on the base.

Nah, it's better magnetise the sidecar. 60mm base would technically affect gameplay. Even at most make a custom base for the bike that's shaped exactly like the bike. But it's not difficult to magnetise, although actually it might be easier to use a pin rather than a magnet. Haven't done either myself yet, for the time being the thing is held in place by blu-tack.

I don't think GW sells the 3 bike box that they used to. They do have 2 "upgrade" packs for $10, One is as you describe, and one for White Scars, with swords and pistols. And like many things these days, they are resin, not metal. The torsos for bikers should be the same as every other marine, so you could just dip into your bits box and work up some special weapon troops.

I'm not sure about the new Ravenwing stuff from DA, but I think the old battle force was a good way to get bikes cheaply.

I've not assembled a newer plastic AB, but from the pics it looks like your should be able to magnetize it without much trouble.

Well i have a bunch of melta and plasma guns as well as torsos and such. I think i might get 3 attack bikes and magnetize the sidecar somehow. I am pretty good at doing that.

Also they do not have a set anymore. Its all individual bikes. I wish they would do sets for things but alas GW is its own kind of honey badger and simply doesn't give f@ck about some things. Things like oh you have an assault army thats nice, here is a bunch of new rules to make it impossible to win for you

Playing Blood Angels now is more a measure on did i lose gracefully or did i get tabled right off the bat.

How strange. I got my bikes about 5 months ago. It came as a set with three bikes, and basically the upgrade included. Guess GW changed it up.

I think they got rid of it in exchange for the dark angels boxes they have now. That or its just nowhere where i can see.

maybe

GW has been moving away from the plastic/metal hybrid kits. I want to say it was over the summer that they released the resin add-on kits. The 3 pack was probably dropped about the same time.

Don't wanna get too off topic but is there no longer a set of codex marine bikes? I don't play DA and I don't like the wings on the front of the bikes, so that means I need to buy my army one model at a time if I want bikes?

doesn't seem that way. GW's site only lists them as single-model boxes. I did see a few 3-bike ravenwing kits on ebay, but I have no idea if those are old or new.

Take this with a grain of salt, it's not personal experience, just what I've heard:

The Dark Angels Battleforce is a collection of normal bikes/attack bike/speeder with a upgrade sprue or two. It can be assembled as the basic kits.
