Stuff like this makes me think one of two things is going on here. 1. GW doesn't actually proof read anything they put out. 2. They outsource the proof reading to a company that doesn't actually do anything.
On that note, if gw would like to pay me to proof read their material I will gladly do it for less than what they are paying now.

I think one of 2 things should happen here.
1) That codex should be sold cheaper to us because it has a defect.
or
2)Fire the guy that proof reads stuff because he is bad at his job and he should feel bad.

yeah im ok with 3 why not lol the only problem i see here is, what sorta dark voodoo witch craft are they gonna use to make it work? I guess they could say their primarch was corrupted by the warp but the marines did something like a mutiny on him and removed him from power but kept it secret

Perfection... that is all.
And yes, it is only the PDF version, my physical copy doesn't hold this abominable error haha.
However, I am almost glad the error exists. It's such a huge fail that it is actually a success.

Yes. It is such an epic fail that it goes full circle and crosses the line twice to become double epic fail.... then crosses it again to become win!

Hilarious, but seriously, GW need to sort out their quality control. The Collectors Edition of the CSM Codex had issues with numbering, and the FAQ for the DA is already fairly large.

Seriously, it came out less than 24hrs after I bought the book -____- And they may have well just removed the entire Veteran page and replaced it because the minor difference makes a HUGE difference. The FAQ is mostly little changes but they make a huge impression. Changing 3 members to ALL is one word but makes the entire squad vastly different!
I hate GW for some of this quality control stuff. Shouldn't they have sat people down and been like, "read this. Build an army." and then seen the guy who was like, "Wait... why does it say three? We've been playtesting with full units of upgrades the whole time." Or take the literally 2 seconds to go "Wait, WHY THE *beep* is there a Vampire Counts section on the Dark Angels captain section?"
Like, literally, it'd take 5 seconds... I read the whole DA codex in a few hours so SOMEBODY at GW should have taken the time... w/e
And as a writer myself I know that if I created such a book, and turned it in to be published I would probably be fired or lose pay etc or never even get my book/story / whatever made because of minor spelling or detail errors. And the fact that not only is this book wrong, but also GREVIOUSLY wrong is ridiculous.
However, it is still funny.

I'm saddened that this error was not in the printed version. I would have loved to play some Space Counts.
Pretty big Opps it would seem.

Someone once told me this about Porsche Panameras:
"There are two Panamera's in my hood. Visual pepper spray. When Jesus was on the cross and cried out "Father, why have you forsaken me?" it wasn't because of the whole crucifixion, it was because he foresaw the design of the Porsche Panamera."

A decade ago I bought a copy of the first Gaunt's Ghosts novel, the first 75 pages of which were inexplicably from Trollslayer.
Come to think of it, the 3rd ed. Ork codex was printed without it's weapon tables (for years I relied on the bare-boned stats in the rulebook), so I can't really say GW hasn't improved.
