Assuming if you pre-ordered something and paid in full and was constantly told it would be coming only to be constantly disappointed, how long would you guys think it's appropriate to wait before demanding a refund?

Complain to the delivery firm, unless the company hasn't sent it, in which case complain to them.

The independant stockist i use, tends to do 14 days MAXIMUM between order (or day of release) and dispatch for anything pre-order or not in stock. Add in another week for postage, so i would say 3 weeks.

What were you waiting for?

I pre-ordered zombicide from a local store in Oct. They said it would be in in Nov but it's Jan and I still don't have my zombicide. I've chased them 2 times about it; once in late Nov and then in late xmas and they've always told me it hasn't come in yet and maybe it'll come in mid dec/jan. They're still not sure when it's going to come in

Complain to everyone you can.
Onetime i was promised a package from GW on friday. On friday it was delayed to tuesday. I complained to UPS, to GW, and even threatened to never use their site or services again.
I got it over nighted to me for free.
I dont gt why we teach our kids that complaining solves everything, it obviously does.

That is most definitely deserving of a refund. It's been nearly 3 months!

It really depends on what it is, and how available it is.

If it's something that's out an in all the shops you've nothing to loose by asking for a refund. If it's something limited edition you'll probably find it's all gone anyway and there's still a faint chance the company could get hold of it for you so I'd wait longer

If the item has not yet been released, you need to ask do I still want it ? and do I still belive it will be released. If you answer yes wait some more, if no then ask for a refund

If its something that is supposed to be in stock or is supposed to ship on a certain date then I dont think i'd wait more than a month. If it something like kickstarter or someone I buy preproduction then I usually wait a lot longer.

It would depend on the amount it cost. I'm pretty patient and it it wasn't that expensive, up to 11 months and two weeks.

Then I would lodge a payment reversal request with my card provider (12 month buyer protection). It would be granted within a couple of days.

If it was expensive, 4-6 weeks before doing the same. 4-6 weeks is usual delivery time from ROW to Australia.

SIning,

I know thiungs can take longer to get in Germany somtimes.

I used Pegasus Spiele in Friedberg for most of my stuff. and It was usually in fast. I found that he was a distributor for most of the areas I lived in.

Well, it was xmas time so I forgot about it until the 26th. Then I remembered and they told me mid-jan so I figured I'd just give them a last chance. Just getting very annoyed because it's not like I specially ask them to bring it in for me. If they're going to put up a pre-order for things and take money for it upfront, they really should be the ones to tell me what's happening instead of having me ask every month.

Thanks, but I don't actually live in Germany. I'm just travelling around in Europe now on business.

^ Nothing to this point - but that is the maximum time I can wait and still have a payment reversal done inside the time period (allowing time for holidays and so on).
