I do not play Space Marines, so I will just comment on the
GK henchmen half
If you want more detailed info on henchmen , then check out the article in my signature.
He is not only mandatory, he is really really good.
Librarian with terminator armour, nemesis warding stave. Mastery Level 3
Warp rift, smite, Quicksilver.
250pts
If you want to take the
BRB spells (like Divination), then just take inquisitors. They are far cheaper and better.
The only reason to take a
GK librarian is if you want the
GK spells. There is really only one unit that strongly benefits from the
GK spells: Paladins
Paladins love stealth for 3+ cover
Quicksilver lets the paladins take more swords for 4++
INV saves in combat, and you still hit first
Might of titan is more damage
Sanctuary lets your deathstar charge more, and defend objective from contesting assaults.
Replace this guy with an Inquisitor with Terminator Armor, Psycannon and LV1 divination.
Relentless psycannon, and a re-roll to hit for an entire squad. Only 110 points.
Troops
Inquisitorial Henchmen
6 Henchmen with Bolt guns
1 henchman with storm bolter
1 henchman with melta gun
Chimera
102pts
Henchmen are only
BS 3. You really want to max out the Melta or Plasma guns in a unit. I would always take 3 of them in a unit.
I would either go all bolters or all storm bolters, there is no real reason to mix them.
Inquisitorial Henchmen
3 henchmen with flamers
1 Henchman with CC weapon, laspistol
2 Death Cult Assassins
1 Banisher
Chimera with heavy flamer
161pts
Why take a banisher? there is no reason unless you are making a list specifically to kill daemons.
In 6th edition, you do not want to shoot before you assault a unit. You will probably kill models that will put you our of assault range.
Assault henchmen are great, but they really only work as a Deathstar in an assault vehicle. They are not durable enough to survivie a turn of shooting out in the open (even with crusaders in the unit as well).
Inquisitorial henchmen
4 henchmen with power armour, boltguns
1 henchman with plasma gun
1 Servitor with plasma cannon
1 servitor
104pts
Why take henchmen with Powerarmor, when you could just take 3x times the henchmen with out armor. You should be sitting in cover anyways, so armor is not needed.
Also, if you are putting an Inquisitor here to deal with mindlock, then you will want 3x
PC servitors. They are so cheap, and if you are sitting back, then they are the gun you want.
Coteaz is really good in the middle of the board with a more agressive henchmen unit. Maybe you want a cheap inquisitor with just a Hellrifle and divination to sit with these guys.
Overall, you need to focus your henchmen units a bit more. Give them a specific role on the battlefield.
Examples-
Melta henchmen: Cheap unit that kills something important, and probably dies. Keep them cheap.
Plasma GUN henchmen: Move into the middle of the board. Take objectives, deal some damage every turn. You may want a larger more durable unit.
Plasma CANNON henchmen: Sit back, blast away, hold the
ADL and quad gun.
Assault henchmen: Deathstar in an assault vehicle. Throw them at the enemy and kill stuff.
