i am creating a Warhammer 40k campighn using a mix of DnD and warhammer 40k rules. i need ideas for crazy tech that would be used by Adeptus mechanicus/dark mechanicus. please post any suggestions in regards to new weaponry and machines. please include a basic summary of what that tech does rulewise.

If you want an idea of some common Dark Mechanicus tech, just look at Obliterators and Mutilators. Both are half man, half bear, half pig....I mean half man, half machine, half demon.
Seriously though, Obliterators and Mutilators will give you a good idea as to what Dark Mechanicus tech can do to a Chaos Space Marine.
As for standard Mechanicus, I would say look at IG tech priest and SM tech marines for some rules and points costs.

An idea from the novels I liked was several gun-turrets networked to a single servitor brain ... with the guns going dead if the servitor is killed.
If that's not crazy enough, you could expand this idea to infantry. Think of stuff like a floating servo-skull parading a dozen flesh-puppets (convicted criminals slaved to their "squad leader") armed with lasguns (or heavy weapons?) around the battlefield, the skull and his posse connected via thick cable-leashes. Lousy BS/WS and they'll go berzerk if the skull is hit, but cheap points costs and they Know No Fear.
Grimdark and crazy, yet I could totally envision the IoM doing something like this. I mean, thinking about it, that's essentially a crossover between Arco-Flagellants and Repentia!

A guest house where you use servitors everywhere for even the simplest of jobs. How about a hotel lift and the lift boy servitor hardwired into the wall asks you with monotone voice "wich level, please" then pulls the lever. The luggage boy is another centaur-like servitor on wheels or dozends of small crab-like legs like a centipede, and his "horse-back" is a pickup-like platform. Another servitor crouching along and just stopping before you, opening his mouth to - reveal roating polishing brushes and "licking" your shoes with it.
When their host turns against the players, everyone of those servitors is part of the "emergency defence installation" and starts to attack with whatever kind of household item is part of its modification, be it a whinery knife, fly swatters, a sortiment of drum magazine repairman's tools, of ultrasonic blasts normally used to clean the beadsheets. In the end the hotel itself attacks like the town of mechanicsburg in Phoglio's great steampunk comic Girl Genius... http://www.girlgeniusonline.com
Also I would not think about "new" technology, bot creative use of it. You could reward out-of-the-box-thinking like it happened in one of the earliest "Perry Rhodan" SF pulp novels. The villain had one of the best force fields of the galaxy for personal protection, no blast nor projectile weapon could overcome it, until the hero took some sports bow and arrow made out of non-conducting glass fibre from the space ship's recreation area and shot right through it. Let there be tesla coils like in Command and Conquer, counter that with silver iodite rockets to make it rain heavily, so those lighning strikes are fizzing. Let there be mechanical gears to clog (as in, sabotage, you know, when the workers on strike threw their wooden shoes into the machines). Counter laser rays with mirrors. How much is an astartes power armour worth, when you drop a load of liquid cement or maybe hot caramel on it and the joints start to fuse? Or when you clog the cooling intakes of his power backpag with a load of pillow feathers that are sucked into the device? If you cannot win against a techpriest with all his body enhancements, disable them, maybe with that big electromagnet that is part of his laboratory. KLUNK, that guy dangles from the ceiling...
So just let them mechanicus have all sorts of Gizmos and Gadgets of the Rube-Goldberg variety, and instead of rules think about physical principles to counter them.

As I found out in a previous thread, it's possible to have a brain hardwired into something that could be considered a UAV - aka large servo skulls. Strap missiles onto it and have a network center where Tech Adepts commune with their machine spirits and you've got a focus for any campaign. You could also have Tech Adepts who have almost completely lost themselves to the machine god wreathed in a hostile chem enviorns.

Why bother trying to kit-bash 40K and D&D rule-sets together when they have Dark Heresy?

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised. |

Because the dark heresy rules are too limited and I don't like how they handle combat, that being said I do use the dark heresy books as a guide

I'm assuming from your name you've already looked into the updated combat system for Only War?
Perhaps some sort of homing/heat-seeking flamer? I know the idea sounds strange but it'd basically be a heavy flamer with additional penalties to try and dodge it, as the flames some how seek out their target. The promethium it uses contains colonies of a strange, temperature resistant spore/parasite that is drawn to living beings. The flamer ignites them and sprays them towards the enemy, the spores gliding through the air in the general direction of their target.

Sounds interesting. That being said, I am trying to find more Necron-ish or dark Eldar-ish technology that has been scavenged by the Mechanicus.

You're talking about a fusion of magic-like technology and actual magic. There is nothing that cannot be justified with a bit of thought. So what do you want to inflict on your players?
