Hello all,

I'm new to the dakka forums, but I've been a wargamer for the last two decades.

My primary systems I enjoy are Infinity and Heavy Gear Blitz. Recently, I've been spending much more time with the former.
I've been making Infinity batreps for a little while now and posting them on the CB forums. But now that I see there's a nice community developing here, I wanted to add my reports in an effort to help the local community growth.

The batreps are commonly titled "A Case of the Mondays" in honor of my group's typical Monday meet-ups. This report is using a new visual style as a result of a lot of feedback I've received, as well as what I've seen other community members create.

I hope you all enjoy, any comments and suggestions are welcome!

KITSUNE SWORDSAGE’S JAPANESE SECTORIAL ARMY

The two Keisotsu with weapons pointed down will be the forward observers. The Starship Troopers CHAS is pretending to be the O Yoroi; whose little Crazykoalas are played by a pair of Palbots. The Tokusetsu Butai is represented by the Gui Feng Spec Ops mini.

Quick note: Kitsune Swordsage wrote this list for me (on the spot) but due to other obligations was not able to play it. This game represents my use of his minis, not his own tactics.

Table Setup & Deployment

Given the small point-cap, the table was set up as a 2′ x 3′. The terrain is mostly cardstock wall print-outs, rocks, as well as towers and barriers made with a Platformer Large Box construction set. Given the map size, width edge deployment zones are only 6″ instead of 12″.

The JSA easily won the initiative roll and opted to go first. PanO elected to deploy second, as per usual. It is important to note that the Keisotsu did NOT deploy as a link team, instead are covering a wide area down the deployment zone, in an attempt to apply pressure to PanO wherever it should be needed, in case the O-Yoroi can’t do its job.

PanO deployed very conservatively, minimizing the amount of incoming fire they would receive (or so they thought until the reserved O-Yoroi was deployed). The Croc Man on the big tower deployed in regular camo in order to blend in. The 2nd Croc used hidden deployment and is invisibly hanging out by the rock at the 10 o’clock of the small tower.

JSA Turn 1

The only effect I could think of for discover was the ‘scan’ effect from Alien(s). Needs more work though.

Fire: Solving problems since cave walls were the best canvas.

Hey kids! If you like the MOV values on TAGs and remotes, you REALLY should try them out by playing width-wise on a 2′ board!

This must be why every military ever dislikes getting flanked.

O-Yoroi: Love to WIP the unsuspecting.

For the remainder of turn 1 and beyond (oh yes, there are many more turns) can be found here: http://purplegaming.slashmeow.com/acaseofthetestdays/

yes, this is great stuff! Would you mind if I copy some of your ideas for my own battle reports?

Have at it. Some of my recent inspiration came from battle of the stacks ^_^

Brilliant presentation Thanks for sharing it here, will be sure to haunt your blog. Bit of a bummer about the rambo TAG @ 150 pts but maybe it gets taken down in a surprising and unexpected turn of events???

*scampers off to find out!*
