So, my brother just found out he really likes DCA's, after they murdered the living daylights out of a daemon prince in a little skirmish.

Anyways, we want like 50 of the suckers, (some of which will probably become crusaders, hard to argue with a 3++) and we're wondering how to whip them up without breaking the bank.

They could look like anything from guardsmen to mongols.

Third-party models, bitsmashes from sprues, whatever- I just don't know any sites to get this sort of stuff from.

I'm curious to see what you guys can think of

I would suggest doing something funky with the dark eldar wych plastic kit. I reckon some of the poses you could get from it would be very fitting, plus the miniatures are slim. Might need to find some longer daggers etc.

I've made some using Woodelf archers, cutting off all the bows and replacing them with swords and axes on each model. The have a Assassin's Creed look to them. Make sure to paint them red/black/white for best effect.

Yeah, telling people how this and that is 'garbage' and they should just throw their minis into the trash as they're not as efficient as XYZ.

So the solution is to lie and pretend that certain options are effective so people will feel better?

Wood Elfs are a cheap source for bondage ninjas!

And of you play GKs you should have plenty of their short swords to spare.

Light/Dark Elves/Eldar plastics would certainly be the simplest and cheapest way to get GW-legal fluffy looking deathcult assassins in bulk. But some head swaps (at least) will be needed to stop them just looking like Light/Dark Elves/Eldar

Dark eldar work nicely.

Imperial guard: Because quantity has a quality of it's own.

Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.

After 8 editions, you might have thought that GW could get fantasy right.
