Dear god the smell though, I dislike working with PVC when I have to glue it.

I'm not finding Craftics #33 or Plastruct Plastic Weld in Aus yet. Can get PPW from SnM in the UK which I might have to do unless a better alternative shows up.

Surely one of your deadly local fauna has some kind of super-glue attack? Sounds like something one of those things'd do, spit sticky blood out of it's eyes so it's target suffocates.. or something. 'Course then they're probably too deadly to farm for materials to make the glue then too huh... Good luck on your search, I don't use it often but the craftics stuff does prove useful occasionally.

Ahyup. I might have to stop down at Bunnings this weekend and grab a can of that stuff for when I get back to my Mantic models...

Are the kickstarter backers going to get a digital copy of the Nexus Psi campaign book?

From what I can work out / remember, I'm getting the big collectors edition thingy, which will have it in there. However, until that comes, I'm thinking I'm going to be a bit stuck.

I'm guessing there's no news I missed on the plastic Enforcers?
That's pretty much what I'm holding off on my survey for.

At the moment, I'm theorising getting something like 3 Enforcer booster sets, 1 Orx Marauder booster. It's actually just the marauder booster I'm 'needing' - I don't like the side enough to get a booster bundle and the bundles ended up seeming to be a bit excessive the first go round.

Yes, everyone who backed Scout or higher gets a free pdf copy of the Nexus Psi campaign and a free pdf copy of the compendium, but I don't know if those are going to be separate digital entities or all folded into one now.

I suspect folks will get the Nexus Psi pdf when it is released rather than having to wait for the full compendium. Mantic tends to be good about that from what I can see.

^Yeah, we may even get it sent out to us a little before the print copies deploy. Kind of a shame to wait for the paper version longer than other folk but as long as I have the PDF I'll be fine, and then I'll get my compendium and LE ubercompendium woot.

So I played my first game of Deadzone earlier... wow! Very fun, the battle swung back and forth, and it was down to the wire! Looking forward to playing again as soon as possible.

I wish they would have delayed the survey deadline until we had seen all the renders.

Those do look good.

I can see myself grabbing a set of those aliens to add to my Rebs at some point, they look very nice.

Yeah shoot I'd have added a pack of those onto my survey, I almost did as it was. I guess they'll show up retail someday.

Those do look good, I've got the free set coming from backing the project early. I don't think I'd want another set with the same sculpts.

The design looks like the PF alien storm troopers might fit in with them.

Like the deadzone mins I hope mantic release some alternate sculpts I'm more than happy for them to be metal if need be.

Nexus Psi link should be in your KS messages and ready to go, am reading it right now.

CSW =Crew Served Weapon seems like a good way of toning down the power of the Marauder Gun trakk.

Nice lot of background in the book too, a page or 2 each on each of the mercenaries.

Well, the Mortar Guntrack is no longer gamebreakingly OP and has instead joined the HEW Guntrack in being utterly useless.

I wonder if The Survivor represents some sort of latent British fear of the Slavs.

I get why its not op now but why is it useless? I still think weapons with that extreme range are really intended for the larger game sizes to come.

It can only hit the far two rows and only after everyone has had at least one, possibly two, chances to clear that space. So now it's just another model that just sort of sits there and you can safely ignore, like all the direct fire heavy weapons apart from the TK ZERO team.

Runnin up on ya.

Well. That kind of went from one end of the spectrum to the other, didn't it?

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

It Puts it in the corner precious. And use it for the bigger games when they exist.

lol.

If you get much bigger, you might as well play Warpath, right?

^ Pretty much.

Not seeing how the rules do anything other than break down at more than 100 points. The piles of counters and multiple card decks make the game firmly locked in at skirmish level.

Mars attacks has better odds of upscaling well.

I'm not necessarily arguing with you guys, you may could be right I've not gotten to play, but I'm still eager to see the multiplayer/multimat rules. I wonder if something akin to Infinity's linked actions or full on link teams would make things go quicker.

Quick heads-up for anyone in the UK, wayland games has Dreadball Kick-off for £17.99 for today only:

http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/mantic-games/dreadball/dreadball-kickoff/prod_20049.html

Rather good for 2 teams, pitch, counters, rulebook and dice!

Shoot yeah, aren't the teams usually fifteen British squigly lines all on their own?

Yep, so an extra 3 quid gets you another team, the board, counters dice etc.

It is just the kickoff set, but still a great deal and the cheapest way of getting into the game I've seen. For anyone wanting to dabble with the game or just play casually (no ref/ card decks add-on rules), grab it.

The Dreadball academy (at least the first couple) didn't use any of that extra stuff (to my knowledge) and the game still looked really fun.

I really need to get working on that 'Ultimate Dreadball: Kickoff Style' blog post idea I had.

I imagine the logical thing for the bigger games would be, either just reshuffling the deck after you used it, a new deck like in Ultimate Dreadball, or just simply having another method for dictating round limits.

I do trust that Jake will be able to make big multi player team games completely viable.

Those new mars attacks renders are pretty good, couldn't care less about that game but those aliens could be useful in a deadzone/warpath Rebs army.

Also just a heads up guys I just got my Nexus Psi pdf in my inbox, looks like they're starting to send them out.
