Oh yeah it's only just getting to be 10 am around here, I'm up all day Thanks for the information. I'm kind of hesitant to order at 20% since I can get that anywhere, even though I like directly supporting mantic. At 30% though... that's pretty hard to argue.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it says this will work for "any countries who are out of the world cup". Grim, our team (USA) is defenitley still in, so you might not be able to get said discount. Its the price you have to pay to live in such a glorious soccer nation.

Gasp! You are correct =/ Oh well, maybe our team will lose and I'll get access. Or maybe it will continue winning and... that's... also... good? Either way I'll get a deal or not spend money, I can live with such options

Thanks for spotting that though, helps me manage my expectations!

They've said there will be daily deals going forward, I think, so it may be that they start doing sales for countries that do go further at some point.

And now I'm hoping for England to lose 8-0 tonight. If -2 on goal difference is 20% off, does that mean -10 is 100%? Do Mantic gives me free stuff?

Come on Costa Rica!

I know must be confusing, competing in a team sport with other countries; but yes, winning games of football is generally considered good.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Well... It's more that I want the sale and have very little care over the US doing well in the football. I mean, I'm patriotic enough to prefer that they win and stuff... but I like discounts. If that clears up my apathy for you any

I wish some of the discounter s kept decent stock of mantic, I'd buy more. As it is thewarstore is always out of stock when I check them, so I have really stopped checking, and miniaturemarket just gets in the initial wave (maybe hey buy into the Kickstarter or something, then they sell it off until they decide to clearance and don't restock . Don't forget that they also have the free terrain sprue deal going too , not much more incentive, but it is a little extra that you get from them over their discounters.

The Beta 3.0 rules are being shipped with Deadzone wave 2, so it's going to be too late to change them. They almost certainly have them printed off already.

Did they say they were going to send a paper copy? I assumed they would just crank out a PDF since it's cheaper and easier to distribute.

Actually, I'd imagine they are being released as a pdf via the KS page, rather than printing off what will be a temporary and living document.

I figured it would be a little mini pamphlet like they did with the Warpath 1 rules. I can't remember what he said, and the website we post on is down at the moment.

The point of giving us beta rules is to get feedback so that they can be changed or fixed through testing and public sentiment, otherwise there would be no point in calling them a beta or giving them to us now.

And I agree with sukura636, I'm almost certain it'll be a code for beta rules on Mantic Digital like the DBX beta rules backers of that got access to during the campaign.

PS England had a 0-0 draw, so it stays at 20%

not sure if this is the best place to ask this, but did anyone else not get round to playing Deadzone? me and a friend pledged nearly £500 to the kickstarter and I was hyped as **** throughout the campaign specifically the Enforcers, which were going to be my main dudes. But then they told us there was a problem with the plastics, and it was going to affect the Enforcers. They weren't apologetic, and they just moved on quickly and started talking about their "fantastic" terrain. not only that, but they then acted as if they were making it all alright by giving us some Warpath Enforcers.
Now I don't know if any one has ever worked with these models, but they are godawful. like, really bad. But still Mantic acted as if nothing was wrong and kept on as if the campaign was running perfectly.
When I got my box home, I was sorely disappointed to see just how badly the enforcers were affected by this monumental cock-up.

It may seem entitled, but it completely derailed all the momentum the kickstarter had. I don't even bother checking the updates anymore, since anytime I do they just seem to be revealing models that look nothing like their awesome concept art. if they're not doing that they're just fobbing off the backers without any apologies, the lateness of the second wave being a prime example.

So is anyone else in this boat?

You know that those enforcers were just a stop-gap and they are sending you additional enforcers to replace them, right?

I think if you have a look at the KS updates Ronnie has actually apologised about the problems that occurred during the delivery of the rewards. I should also point out that there was a survey for folks who maybe didn't get all their stuff or had issues with the models or terrain kits. Did you fill that in PapaSoul?

I don't remember that survey.

There was a missing/damaged parts survey to fill in, but im still waiting for my replacement bits :(

Plus I must say the resin enforcers in my pledge were pure gak, they were really badly mauled with big chunks missing from the waists plus misaligned moulding on the legs. Weirdly the army box I had already bought weren't too bad. Im really looking forward to the plastics (fingers crossed)

I never got nor knew of that survey, and I thought I followed this stuff pretty closely. I sent over a dozen emails and other messages via multiple means before I was able to get Mantic to address my broken/missing stuff.

Of course, what they sent was in the same shape as the ones which elicited my complaint to begin with. I gave up on it.

He just sent out an update saying if you were still waiting to contact Sarah. Also, if they were junk, ask for replacements.

We have now sent out packages with missing items and most people now have got their issues sorted. However, I have spent part of this week personally chasing down some outstanding missing items for people who have contacted me on email or via Facebook. While I have seen a few, I know there might still be a few more. Please send us a gentle reminder (via Kickstarter PM) and I will personally make sure any outstanding issues are sorted, or email sarah.clark at manticgames.com.

That football discount is pretty awesome, actually. Way to show nerds can be sports nuts too!! Lol

So, both the US and Japan are still in, which means no discount for me. It's just as well, I suppose, as it saves me from having to spend any more money this month...

Japan's still in after that loss today?

That was a hard watch. So many "Almosts" (to keep it in spirit of the topic).

The TV is still on in the house. I don't think the family has accepted defeat yet.

Hadn't noticed those new Asterian/ Forge Father photos. Makes me wish I got a new Iron Ancestor. Like a few of you mentioned, I think I'll wait until I can get one in a VHS case rather than a plastic bag.
If an Asterian starter goes for a comparable price to the starters that show up on ebay/ resellers, I may grab one as well if they aren't too warped and lots of work

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I await the hard plastic warpath kickstarter but outside of that I'll probably hang back on most Mantic kickstarters in the future. I wasn't really happy with pulling the individual model ordering or the inability to order the FF big guys outside of a starter or expansion on the second survey.

May be too late now, but I think you could order forgeguard sprues, you just had to ask. On my survey comments, I said I wanted 2 sprues if they were 10 or 15 a sprue and they added the charge to my invoice. Just have to make sure it gets shipped now. Mantic has always been good about responding to requests in my experience.

Ah, okay. Think I worked it out. It's not the best phrased, true, But it is literally what happened last time the subject came up - people assuming that the rules will require that models be able to climb all over terrain, when none of us know nothing of the sort.
Perhaps a friendly smiley would have clarified it as a tongue in cheek comment rather than a backhanded swipe at other posters?

Well, it looked like a direct and completely unnecessary jab at myself and something I'd written only a few posts before - and is pretty much a key part of most modern-to-sci fi games, including 40k - which is the direct market that WarPath probably wants to aim at. Otherwise we may as well be playing Napoleonics or ACW with mass-based missile troops.

If they want to make a challenger/spiritual successor to EPIC, then I'm all for it. In 6mm, but not 28/32mm.
