Quick heads up, any email queries related to the Deadzone KS should go directly to:

stewart.gibbs@manticgames.com

.. for a faster reply. Apparently he's the one dealing with it full-time currently.

Only Deadzone KS stuff though, for anything else, contact form or KS messages.

Cool. Stew probably hates me, as I've changed addresses on him for every Kickstarter. And I'm about to do it again.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Email sent to Stewart - hopefully everything works out OK for me as I wanted a bit more of that nice hard plastic scenery!

Yeah, most of my payment was for more scenery. Like another 8 or battlezones of it It's going to be loaned out to our local GT to build and paint for their November event.

I'll have to email Stewart once I get home to make sure they accepted my payment on my paypal invoice. And then to change my mailing address since we're moving here in the next two weeks.

Glad to hear. What time frame did they give you Alph? Makes me breath easier since I already sent them another $290 bucks

And anyone remember when Wave 2 looks likely to ship?

End of July for wave 2.

They didn't give me a time frame, but it certainly didn't sound urgent either.

I plan on paying next week - payday! - but it looks as if end of June should be well within that Wave 2 shipping date of end of July!

End of july huh. So without getting missed and eating a two month delay (like last time), I should have my goodies before august? That would be delightful. And with Mars Attacks right on their heels too. And battle systems arriving in a similar time frame... gonna be buried in boxen!

I am surprisingly calm waiting for wave 2 considering the amount I dropped. I can't wait though.

I'm good too. I'm not in a hurry. Most of what I ordered was terrain so I'm in shoulder shrug mode right now. Then again, I've eased off Kickstarter pretty heavily in the last 6 months.

I await the hard plastic warpath kickstarter but outside of that I'll probably hang back on most Mantic kickstarters in the future. I wasn't really happy with pulling the individual model ordering or the inability to order the FF big guys outside of a starter or expansion on the second survey.

Can confirm the SS report of the Mantic clippers being good, can clip models right on the contact point without damaging the model which saves some work. Much better than my old Army Painter clippers.

I can vouch. I got some of the clippers in my box, and now feel like a heathen for using nail clippers for so long.

Imagine the feeling when you position your tanks, engines idling, landing gear deployed for a low profile, with firing solutions along a key bottleneck. Then some fether lands a dreadnought behind them in a giant heat shielded coke can.

Not sure if this is "news" or not but confirmation that non KS backers can join the pledge manager for Dreadball Extreme as of next week via the latest Mantic newsletter:

"Well, next week we’re opening the PledgeManager to new backers – that is, even if you didn’t get in on the Kickstarter was live, you can sign-up to the PledgeManager and get access to some of the great reward levels and offers that were available! The PledgeManager itself will close on the 31st July, and you can use either Credit Card OR PayPal, so you’ve got plenty of time to sign-up."

"Your funds will go against stretch goals as well, meaning that the more people that join in, the higher the pledge total gets, the more free stuff we’ll throw in."

I don't know how many people will join but it should see a few more stretch goals hit.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Think that newsletter is worth copying out in full, some pretty interesting stuff in there.

Really like the look of the Azure Forest limited edition board, although it looks like it will only be available as part of the boxset.

Love some of the effort Mantic seem to be putting in to support tournaments and the like as well, get details of those in every newsletter.

DreadBall - The Futuristic Sports Game is out of stock!
Back in the early days when we funded DreadBall on Kickstarter, only half of the first print run went to backers, and the rest went to our retailers. Since then we’ve reprinted the game three further times, as well as introduced the Kick-off variant.

The Futuristic Sports Game

Well, now the fourth print run of DreadBall – The Futuristic Sports Game has been and gone, closely followed by DreadBall Ultimate and some of the other bits in the range.

But never fear – the Galaxy’s Greatest Sport will be returning this summer.

To celebrate the fifth print run of this iconic game we are creating an all-new Limited Edition Azure Forest DreadBall game set with an incredible Special Edition Azure Forest Gaming Pitch, and:

- A'teo "The Savage" Adyssi MVP
- Azure Forest Rulebook: which includes expansion rules for your DreadBall games and League Rules
- Azure Forest Gaming Cards
- 10 Corporation Players
- 10 Marauder Players
- RefBot
- Balls
- Clear Hex Bases
- Season 1 Rulebook
- Roster Pad
- 18 coloured dice
- 54 Gaming Cards
- Special Edition Box with foil cover.

The new limited edition set begins shipping in July.

More imagery will be coming next week but we just wanted to give you the heads-up first as this set is ONLY available in STRICTLY limited quantities - once they're gone they're gone. Pre-order now on the Mantic Games Website and we will also include two FREE random MVPs in your order!

The Azure Forest Limited Board is based on this great design from FF Fields and Rob Taylor, though will vary with some additional details.

Finally look out for our Azure PrimalBall VIII Mega Bundle, which includes:
- Limited Edition DreadBall: Azure Forest game set
- DreadBall Ultimate: Season 3 rulebook, rubber multiplayer mat, 4 DreadBall Giants, and all the cards and counters you need to play
- A FREE copy of the Season 2 Rulebook
- A FREE Dozer Giant MVP as well!!

Rob's Azure Forest Board in action at the DreadBall National Finals - image courtesy of p-g.net.

A sixth print of DreadBall will be coming later this year, back to the standard specification without all of the special edition goodness. The only difference will be that we’ll take the “Deluxe” off the front of the box, because we know that seemed to confuse a few people.

My Deadzone terrain stencils from Anarchy Models arrived today:

Packaged nicely as with the KS, but they now also come with printouts of what's on the stencils which helps a lot as it can be really hard to see what's on the stencil sheets. Bonus cute little tape measure and calculator too ; )

If anyone missed them, here's what they help you do:

@Yonan: thanks for the post, they look great, and at a very reasonable price too.

Did you go for the full set? Let us know how easy they are to use.

My pleasure, yeah I bought the set of 3. He has a video of them in use here so you can see for yourself how easy they are. I haven't used the deadzone stencils yet, but I've used other anarchy stencils and they're great, very easy to use.

Why would the concept art have any bearing on what Mantic ends up producing?

Awesome, thanks so much!

Does anyone have any experience of these fields, and their material/build quality/price?

But dbx has moar spikes and murders

Is anyone else really excited for the dz solo deck? I could see folks creating "dead mans hand" esque scenarios where its almost impossible to beat the AI's superior force unless you move the right way (and get lucky).

Plus I'd like to get a game in
