Ahh so it's a bit better than i thought. Will have to consider it then, updating rules would be nice.

I'm not particularly well-versed on Android, but is this of any use?

I don't recall iOS being a formal app so much as a very good website, but I haven't done much poking around with that end of things either.

That's why I got them. Very good deal with the backer discount. If they're even remotely like the digital DB rules I'll be happy.

Yeah I'm thinking about it a little harder now. If they threw in a digital faction deck per faction, I'd be all over it

I mean one that shuffles. And draws.. an app not a PDF of the cards... though that would be acceptable too.

Hm, my tablet is also a Windows PC. Not IOS or Android. Will their digital edition work on that with all the bells and whistles? Or should I just format shift (legal in AU) my books into PDF format?

Or download an app that will read it? I think Bluefire reader should work?

It should work in the browser, that's how the digital edition DBX beta rules work on my Windows desktop

In the previous update they mentioned contacting them to get a change of address but didn't say how to contact them, any suggestions?

What is the treaded gun called, I don't see it listed on the website description?

And is there no way to buy it separately?

It's a mining laser, I think, and it will probably be available separately once these models get a full release.

Mars Attacks book looks good. Love the art.

It's essentially Deadzone but streamlined for casuals.

I do think that rules that only ever appear on one Hero should be printed on his card, not in the "USR" section.

So the Forge Guard are the first plastic kit to sneak out into retail (about the same time as ks stuff goes out to backers). Thoughts?

No one appears to have posted this yet soo- here y'are.

As promised, the digital editions of Mars Attacks – The Miniatures Game rulebook and game cards are now in your Kickstarter inbox!

This book contains all the rules you need to play, stats for your models and scenarios telling the story of Greenville.

You can download it using the link in your Kickstarter Inbox*!

* Unless you're a $10 Operation: Earth backer, in which case the link has been emailed to you directly for technical reasons.
Come and play at Gen Con!

We’re going to have several copies of Mars Attacks open at Stand 1343 at Gen Con.

Held in Indianapolis on the 14-17th August, we’ll be on hand to show you how to play the game and take you through what you get in the boxed game!

Also, if you want to pick up your boxed game from your Kickstarter pledge at Gen Con, you can do so! The remainder of your pledge will be shipped to you later.

All you need to do is email sarah.clark at manticgames.com to let her know you would like to pick your copy up. Please bring proof of pledging with you.
And finally…

To finish, here are some Science Division troopers - including the Engineer at the front left!

Until next time - and remember, shipping begins end of August. Not long to go!

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Those look very good! Like the 'scientist' type martian, very characterful!

And those Forge Fathers are fething fantastic, can't wait to get my hands on them. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to appear in web seller stores for pre-orders after they have been on Mantic's own website?

There's nothing listed as a mining laser in the description of either Forge Fathers preorder set, though:

MA is looking really good. Niece and nephew are going to love it, will be a great intro to wargaming for them. And painting! They love using my airbrush and are getting a lot better at brushwork too, having their own armies to paint rather than my rejects should be great for them.

Did they end up making Mars Attacks into two shipments?

I don't think so. It was Deadzone that was getting a third minor shipment due to some delayed plastics.
