hi guys we are getting through about 200 orders per day (more if they are small, less if they are big - and some a VERY big) so we still have about 6 days more of orders - about 1000 left . I also have a pile of thank you notes to sign! We are getting through them but 5000 orders is taking a while! Thanks for your patience.
If you take a work day to be ten hours, that's one order completed every 3 minutes. Even if you consider that overtime will almost certainly be included, that's impressive.
The galaxy is littered with the single-planet graveyards of civilisations which made the economically sensible decision not to explore space.

Same model, but cast in resin I believe. The key question is whether she still has a giant mold line running down one side of her face like the restic version does.

Mine was sent Royal Mail, so blind. I didn't get a shipping notification either, it just showed up one day.

Two boxes just showed up for me, no notice prior so it was a pleasant surprise.
HOWEVER-
Did the Forge Father starter Brokkrs ship?
I got the dudes in the booster- biker, demo guy, boss man, but no other FFs- obviously I'm aware the sprues are later, but wasn't sure if the other Brokkrs were shipping or not.
I was really looking forward to the mining laser. I guess I'll keep looking forward to it!
Also got Bjorn, and he's one chunky little guy! I want more FF drop troopers now!
Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

If the order is correctly picked, yes. It took them four goes to get the correct arm for a model in my first shipment.

Not quite the same. It is the same sculpt, but reposed. Same as the 1st Gen resin.
I expect this will be the pattern going forwards for Mantic's resin-only Kickstarter characters. (Unless, like Keldan in Dungeon Saga, they have no other standard plastic versions.)
I'm going to be very surprised if the Dungeon Saga Legendary resin characters are entirely original sculpts. I'm betting they'll be the same sculpts, reposed, with some doo-dads and bling added here, a weapon hand changed there, etc.
Dakkadakka: Bringing wargamers together, one smile at a time.™
Well, then you get into Theseus' paradox! If you take a basic dollie, change the pose and clothes and the items (all of the concept art for the legendaries has rather a lot of trinkets), at which point does it become a truly different model?
Of course, if the original is a 3D model (like in Mars Attacks, with alternate General Tors) reposing is quite easy!
Really want to see the Plague resin though - it's such a good model, and so limited in numbers, that I wouldn't be surprised if this was the first Mantic exclusive that could be sold on for a substantial amount.

I got a Fedex International Priority ship notification Friday, arrived in the USA Monday, picked it up at the Fedex place a few blocks from my house on Tuesday.

Some nice effort there from Mantic. Robotech hasn't shipped 200 orders (the two basic pledges they said they'd start with) in two weeks.

Models were freebies, limit one per order, if you pledged over a certain amount before the end of the Kickstarter - $400 for the Reb commander, $500 for the Plague and the Reb commander. Money added later in the pledge manager did NOT count!
The Hardback was a freebie for over $800 as above, or an add-on for...$30 if I recall? Freely available during the pledge manager, but won't be available outside of the Kickstarter.
So the resin freebies and hardcover were only free if your initial pledge was the required amount? :(

Speaking of which, anyone know if they will open a third survey for the third wave? After seeing the quality of the models that have just arrived I would like to get some more.

For those Deadzoners in the UK. Especially if you ordered lots of things like me.
"This message was sent to you at the request of MANTIC GAMES to notify you that the electronic shipment information below has been transmitted to UPS. "
So, it's UPS that are delivering mine, hopefully tomorrow. UPS is a good choice, as, locally at least, they've started doing "oh, you're not in, I'll hand it over to the shop owner down the road for you and you can pick it up there."

That sounds completely insane to me. Is it a British thing for people to just trust their neighbors with each others' mail?
I have someone with the same last name living in my apartment building and it's always a stressful time when we have a new postman because if he hands my mail to the other guy that ****er will keep it or trash it (if it's a bill).
The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.
I haven't seen any posted pictures of the hardback book, so I thought I'd take some.
Spoiler:
A nice black leather effect cover (with no text on the spine... useful)
Rather than signing the book itself, Jake and Ronnie have signed a numbered slip in the front cover. I feel so appreciated! (Although... did Jake write Rick or Rich?)
The contents... as you can see, it's literally several books one after the other. I would have preferred something more integrated, with all rules of the same type in the same place, but I guess time constraints limited what they could do (especially as this was free for most people getting it... I paid)
Some rules. I haven't checked to see if any erratas have been written in (I suspect not)
Some pages of fluff (I haven't really been able to read through it yet)
It's a pretty nice product, I probably wouldn't have sprung for it if not for 'Kickstarter fever', but I don't regret getting it.
“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Shop-owner, not neighbour It's an agreement that some companies (such as UPS) have with local stores.

Had a few parcels left with my neighbours, everytime they've popped round with it later that day when they know im in. I return the favour as often as I can, but then again I live in a smallish village.
Hope my parcels turn up soon tho, its very annoying seeing stuff on ebay before the ks has fully delivered :(

It's even more annoying seeing people who preordered get their stuff before the ks has fully delivered.

It was originally initial pledge only during the campaign, then I think at some point later on they might have expanded that to include the first survey, but I'm not 100% certain

It expanded to second as well:

Heya, another question.
Is the upgrade to Deadzone Veteran at $300 (with free hardback compendium) only for the original kickstarter pledge or does that include second survey? I didn't go over 300 on the original, but I think I will on second survey.
Thanks!

Hi Eben,
Thanks for getting in touch.
The hardback compendium is actually free at $750, the softback version is free at $300 and we will include second survey results when making this calculation.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
Chris!

^ Read that again. $300 for free softback compendium, second survey credit included.
The free resins and hardback have *always* been original KS money only, and this has been the case ever since the KS ended.
If anyone was expecting free resins or hardback from survey spends, you're not going to be getting them, this was something that was clearly communicated during the KS and I spent $40 to buy the hardback because I knew I wouldn't qualify with survey cash.

Ah yes okay then. I did get the free Veteran slipcase!
