My fear is that the new book will nerf marauders, the new warshrine and bloodcrushers while simultaneously buffing the new things forcing you to buy them.

That's typical with new army books/codexes. Also marauders need to cost a little more by like one point. They are way good for their cost even without armor. You can give them flails and stuff. I mean sure they're fodder units but they still have some nasty options for their cost.

GW is way insane with costs and they're forcing people to leave the hobby for it. Their loss.

They're as much forcing people out as they're forcing people to buy more. I don't think they're losing anything.

If you cannot afford any manners then I suggest you should find some mudslinging forum. Perhaps there's one with an entry fee so the posh can be amongst equals...

Doesn't the same go for rules and models? Let's just close dakka.

I saw some pages of the book

The magic items are CRAZY

Not as in crazy op or anything, well ok I didnt get a good look at the rules, but the highest cost is 65 points. And a good majority are under 30

What happened gw! I thought you loved 100-50 point magic items!

The Throgg model is the gem of the new collection but at last, it's finecast.

Most likely the army book will paper form of big shinny brass balls it considering the multitude of unit options. We'll see tomorrow.

For those who have seen the items...how many are mark-specific? Axe of Khorne, I assume, is MoK only, stuff like that. I think the limitations as such probably influenced the point decreases. This is, of course, coming from somebody who hasn't read it yet (me).

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Played a couple games against the new book today with my Empire and I quite liked it. Nurgle and Slaanesh lores are much better than before and most units seem viable. I notices a magic item specific to each mark as well. While they're still WoC they didn't seem quite as crazy as they used to be.

I also really liked that after talking to the manager despite selling 28 books they sold zero(0) Slaughterbrutes. I hope nobody buys those models since they're way too expensive. He did say the Forsaken are selling well and the chariots were too.
