That makes sense, and you don't give us US backers enough credit. Sure, some people might be upset, but most would understand, I think.

When I shipped out the last batch of Dakka Dice, I sent out the international packages first and the US packages a week later (it was just before and then just after Thanksgiving in the US). I didn't have anyone complain, despite some international packages arriving before the first US ones, and there were more US folks ordering them.

So again, a little bit of credit here we're not all entitled/etc. And if the things are made in China, it makes sense that Aus folks might get them first. I think that will be pretty easy for folks to understand if it happens that way for Phases 2 and 3

Yep, for all my annoyances with the situation, I do have to give Mark full credit for being open, honest and communicative. Hopefully the next batch (and forthcoming ones from future KS) can go with "when it's done" instead of "timetabled around US backers."

Perhaps just a simple line in the notes of the next KS along the lines of this:
"Due to shipping costs and logistical efficiency, orders to some locales in the world may be sent directly from our manufacturers in China rather than via the US. This may result in some backers located in some parts of the world receiving their pledge rewards before others."

Agreed..... The other major change would be having much more to the 90% completion mark, even if I did not go to mold cut, having the kits all the way through sprue layout would help mitigate the delays and give me a true tooling cost going in.

Cutting molds is just machine time, the part that tends to screw up schedules is the engineering or file prep. I would like to have that done for all models, not just some, before starting the next KS.

I'm not talking about you guys. I thought that was pretty clear. I even specified that it's not really a Dakka problem. We've all seen massive Kickstarter-comment meltdowns by this point though. Remember Zombiecide? That's what I'm getting at.

Now stop making me use so many italics.

Runnin up on ya.

No worries Mark, you already communicate better than Mantic and they have an entire workforce while you're a one-man operation. I'm looking forward to dumping some more of my cash on your products later and am kicking myself for not backing more when I had the chance.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

Yep, I've already pre ordered 3 boxes of support weapons which I had to leave out of the initial order. Thankfully they're the only item that actually seems a little cheaper than the kickstarter (with discounts) so far.

The USPS likes to take their sweet damn time entering tracking numbers into the database for some reason. Give it a day and it will show up.

I got my stuff yesterday. I haven't had a chance to assemble any of it yet, but from a glance it looks really nice. No Leviathan for me, just stormtroopers, Adas, and the Feral Shadowkesh. I'm hoping to try out some weapon swaps with my Ada figures. I can probably take some sprue pictures tonight if people are interested, but there are already pictures of all the stuff that comes with the stormtroopers and upgrade sprues, so I'm not sure how useful that would be.

I'll also say that the production values are really top notch. The boxes look really nice.

If it makes anybody feel better, I'm in Texas and have not received any email notifications yet. Then again, my shipment will be pretty big (6 boxes of stormtroopers, 6 boxes of support weapons, 1 leviathan, plus extras) so maybe they're being shipped in order of smallest package to largest?

I would have thought the opposite would be true. Send out the bigger orders, as you spent more...but I guess there's no real rhyme or reason to their mailing process

USPS can be slow to update, especially within the first few days of shipment. Keep trying, it will start working eventually.

Got into work today and there was a nice small box waiting for me on my desk. Glorious plastic sprues!

Time to get some pinning supplies and some good plastic cement and gonna get these guys built.

I only bought 20 stormtroopers and the APC. So these will be hopefully painted for when that shows up.

It's great to read from all the happy Pledgers already having, or getting, theirs!

But gee....it's Friday night and no mail or any communication from WGF, or DF, when they will send it out, or by what criterions at all....a real bummer! :(
Especially since it takes at least 1 week (ideal case) from the US to Europe! And when you look for preorders in online shops they write that those will be available from them from the 20th on!
Does that mean that those and the local retailers get it earlier (or at the same time) than those that pledged with Kickstarter? Now that would be gross!
Because when i count the p&p costs, as well as the import tax in they are about 12% cheaper than what i pledged for! Makes me really sad...why pledge at all....

Online shops say that... but we're not the 20th yet and they might be just as delayed as you. Or more. You know how it is. They have to put a date in, and sometimes some people are optimistic.

Still sad, no shipping info. but probably for the best as I have inventory at work next week and the pesky Valentine's day with the wife. She's caught on to me so I can't tell here the ADA models are hers.

Hey miniholic, they are still working on the KS orders...

Updates #86 and #87 pretty much covered everything... They are shipping and when they are done. As each customers items are shipped, they will receive a tracking number. I will post an update saying that they have completed shipping.

My only comment about the pre-orders is that they will not begin shipping the retailers kits until all KS orders have gone out the door, any estimates they make are just that, estimates. I have no idea how they are making estimates when I do not have an exact estimated completion date for the KS orders.

Edit: I thought I should add this because reading through the post you could take it as dismissive.
One of the reasons I cannot provide better, more definitive information is because I do not have access to how they developed their queue or what order they are shipping in and my contact at WGF has been a slave to the distribution side since Saturday and I have had no contact with him or any way to get in touch. I know they brought in extra staff and are working as fast as possible and I know everyone would love to see a tracking number ASAP. All I can do is urge little patients while they deal with 550+ orders.

Hey Mark, thanks for replying...
Your updates said that they start Monday (4th) and might take 7 days to 14 days and you would inform us when everthing is completed.
Same as with your reply now, thou nothing about any criteria by which they do it, so that one can put his mind at peace.
By what i guess (reading those submissions posted by other members) it might be single box orders first to get the easiest orders out fast up to those which ordered more last, as those mean much more time in picking and packaging the order.

Hi Miniholic... I know its a rough wait. I tried to cover what I know and don't know in the 'Edit' section of my last post. To sum it up, I know as much as you do at this point Until they have completed shipping I have no way to check with Paul about any of the details or even how far along we are.... He is elbow deep in the project and not available for me to check in.

I don't even think they did that, miniholic. People have been receiving their stuff in dribs and drabs.

My best advice is this: First get out of the water. What are you doing, swimming with sharks?

Second, I hear there are fine microbrews in Germany. Get one. Then sit down and practice your painting skills on an inferior mini (second GW works best). That way, you'll be in tip top shape to properly lavish those beauties.

Just trying some levity here, people.
