Mark - assuming you come past this thread at some point, is there any idea how/when the ROW/Asia/Aussie/NZ stuff will ship this time in relation to the US stock?

I will try to get together with Paul at WGF for a conference call this week to determine the best and most expedient way to handle Asia/Aussie. Sufficed to say I do not want to repeated the errors of the last stage. We are running the numbers to see if we can do an air shipment to you or not. If not we will ship all Aus/Asia first, then EU/UK then US.

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

I concur, especially after the mix-up with Wave 1. Good show on that and the quick response.

Agreed that this would be fair. It's what I did (on a Much smaller scale ) for the last round of Dakka Dice orders from the DCMs... shipped all EU / worldwide orders first, then US orders... ends up that many arrive about the same time that way

You should, they may be caught up at a convention right now but if they don't get back to you on Monday let me know and I will check on it as well.

Dear Mark,
Thank you for your great work! I'm in a dire need to get some of your toys!
I have a question: is it possible to pledge stormtroopers and 28 mm Crusaders on Kickstarter, or I have to look for them at the retailers?
More over are Kriegsmarines still available?

Thank you in advance!

The Kickstarter has been over for a while, you're going to have to look for it retail or online distributor, unfortunately. Kriegsmarine... I think you might still be able to order them from Dreamforge, though.

Though honestly, the Stormtroopers are a charm to work with.

I missed the Kickstarter for IronCore but did manage to get one of these gorgeous Leviathan's retail just recently. Holy smokes what a solid mini (can we still call it that?!) you've designed here! I'm going to be eagerly watching for the new weapon arms release and anything else comming out of Dreamforge.

Project so far:

I just found the alternate head designs on his blog. I thought the Leviathan couldn't get sexier.

I was wrong.

Alternate heads?

You mean, other than the Mortis?

I didn't know there were any others!

Got any pics/links?

Please?

I would think he's referring to the Azriel, Azazel and Gabriel variations that were mentioned in a background pdf. Not sure if it's still available for download though.

Don't think there's any projected timeframe for those though, at least not from what I've heard (not that I keep up with the times but ok )

The other heads have been around for a while, and are fairly neat looking. Also from Mark's comments on the weapon arms during the KS that "they wouldn't be available prior to their Leviathan being released" (which I'm be completely unsurprised if he changed now) they will eventually be created.

From his gallery here on Dakka *cough*:

Also this was new to me and nifty-looking, the Paladin (even if a very old concept drawing in reality):

I greatly prefer some of those heads. I could use that Paladin, much better for non-40K settings IMO.

Don't remember seeing the paladin, the others are older drawings that are future designs to come out.

The Paladin is my favorite as well - it has a nice Cherno Alpha vibe to it!

Also, it could be from another faction. I'm basing this on the different body/leg design and the different designation. As I recall, all the Crusader-like Leviathans had a VR5 or VR4 style designation while that is M7. Could just be because it's a different chassis, or not actually a Leviathan but a Scout walker like the Puma.

Speculation is fun!

Alright, the Azazel and Azriel really bug me although I love the Gabriel.

The Azazel is just almost identical to the 3rd Edition Games Workshop Carnifex.

The Azriel just makes me think of Aliens.

If by "almost identical" you mean "vaguely similar" then yes...

I like them all, but I remember Mark saying that they required a different body, too... since they apparently mount differently than the Crusader and Mortis heads.

It's just a bummer, since I like all 3 of these others better...! Ah well, for the future

They do look good. I still like the Crusader better, but I prefer all of these to the Mortis.

I wonder if they'll realistically all be released though? The boxes for these models are huge, and I don't know how many retailers are going to be willing to stock 6 different Leviathan models. I;d think they would be better off going to a GW-style multi-kit box format. Going by the renders above, Azriel and Gabriel seem to have the same loadout, with only the heads being different. That could be a feasable box.

The shoulders seem bulkier then the current production Leviathans, but seem to be the same to each other.

The chest piece looks remarkably similar, and considering the amazingly functionality of the kit, I wouldn't doubt Mark could pull them off on his current chassis as options.

but if he went with a dual/multi kit he'd have to increase the prices,

and field complaints like the new GW baneblade multi kit got.. why should I pay more for a sprue I don't want ?

In this instance I think a single kit is probably a better alternative, and if stores don't want to stock lots of big boxes at once then they can always special order them if folk want them

Project Update #102: Mortis takes to the sea
Posted by Mark Mondragon

The Leviathan Mortis and 15mm Crusader started their month long sea trip today, fingers crossed they sail through US customs and Arrive in Utah somewhere around the August 20th.

The weapon arms will begin mold cut in a couple of days, and as mentioned in the last update will be flown to the US, likely beating the sea shipment by a few days.

Ex-cel-lent. Looking forward to adding the Mortis next to the still-to-be-built Crusader ; p Not to mention all the extra arms.

WGF will be attending Gencon this year with a preview of the kits that will be released sometime in September. I was planning on attending but I had some issues that came up that needed addressing so unfortunately I will not make it this year.

Please make any address changes within the next few days by emailing dfg@wargamesfactory.net as we will need to make a call on how we will deal with the Pacific Rim countries early next week.

As it stands now, if we can airship to those countries from China we will, if not then we will ship from the US, Aus/PR first, then EU/UK and Canada, then the US. We expect the total shipping time to be relatively fast as there are fewer participants in stage 2.

Thank you again for all your patients

Mark Mondragon

Too bad mark won't make gencon. I think it would be great if he could do some face to face with people and let them know how everything is progressing and future plans.

Of all the posted concept Levis, the one I'd want the most, at this point, would be the Gabriel. But that's because it has a resemblance to the head area of a Reaver titan, so IMHO would be an easier fit if I was to use it in 40k Apoc as a small titan.

Would seem easy enough to produce variant head kits and sell them like the different weapon arms.
