I didn't order any wave three, I don't have that sort of patience, but when they hit the market I'll definitely pick them up. Don't worry mark, I maxed out what I could spend in waves one and two anyway .

I'm really anxious to see the female troops, particularly how they're different from the male version. Even renders would be welcomed

I'm sure Mark has lots of renders and artwork he could show us, but I bet he is probably sitting back with a margarita in hand, and watching us beg and plead for them, while laughing maniacally the whole time.. But, instead, like a proper drug dealer, he will slowly pass them onto us, to keep us hooked. He wouldn't want to lose customers to fatal overdoses of his awesomeness.

He did show the APC WIP. And even if a few comments were critical, I'm sure he'll keep on showing them to us. Unlike a certain other company.

I really think that certain other company is currently/actively leaking their photos right now. My tinfoil hat is on firmly, maybe too firmly, but you have to notice most of he pics coming out on different breads are all from new accounts who are only showing new pics and leaking new rules.

Well, that was clearly one of the most negative threads ever on Dakka, so of course no WIP were going to be shown there.

Only a few more weeks to more DFG goodies though! I just have fingers crossed that Wave 3 is not terribly far behind (though sadly with the number of kits I have a feeling it's a forlorn hope).

The mini arms can't require *that* many adaptations to the smaller size, so they are practically already working on those right now.

The APC and attendent kits is going to be a beast, though, no doubt about it.

The 15mm gatling is constructed differently than the large version. The little one is significantly easier, in fact.

Since we haven't seen the large versions (or small) of the many alternate weapons, I can't say if that's the rule upon scale-down.

You're right, I should have been more specific: They can't require that many adapatations that will make the manufacturing process that much more complex that it'll feel like starting from scratch yet again.

This thread has taken a bit of a turn this page. I think it's shamefully become the most negative thread in the history of Dakka.

On a brighter note, I'm definitely looking forward to the Wave 2 stuff. Particularly looking forward to seeing size comparisons between the finished ones and DreadKnights. I'll probably still hold out until Wave 3 arrives before building anything (I should have saved myself money on the extra shipping, though I didn't expect to be waiting on Wave 2 at this point in 2013 - and presumably Wave 3 in 2014...)

I support this message, almost as much as I support Wave 3.

Even the most shamefully negative thread in Dakka history will not be enough to derail the awesomeness of the Eisenkern!

Along with the 15mm Crusader, I've just finished up building and painting the full size Mortis for Wargames Factory's GenCon display.

I took some photos of the 15mm last night and even having been the one to paint them, I have to say that the the small and large versions of the Crusader are extremely hard to tell apart without a scale reference. I painted them more or less identically.

I think you guys will be really happy with the 15mm kit, the detail is phenomenal.
The Mortis is pretty wicked too.

Waiting for my alternate big arms...

I've only put together a bit of my Levi, but have been amazed with the detail and functionality of it.

I wish I had more money to put in for heavy troopers and APC, but I guess Mark needs long term retail support too

Unfortunately I did not make it to Gencon this year, real life issues of hunting for a new residence intruded on my fun.
If you can make it to Gencon, Wargames Factory will be previewing the 15mm Leviathan Crusader and the 28mm Leviathan Mortis, both were painted for WGF by Matt Leahy. I think he did a fabulous job on these! Yes, that is the 15mm Crusader, all the details found on the 28mm model are present.

And now for the shameless plug
For those of you like myself who cannot attend Gencon, I just wanted to let you know that Wargames Factory if having a 25% off sale. Just be sure to use the discount code on checkout.

How wide of a base is the 15mm one on?

I absolutely love the paint job on it. Really amazing weathering.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

If memory serves that is a 60mm base? The kit stands about 4.8" tall when mounted on the base so I think 60mm is correct.... The reason I am not sure is because we made a last minuet change to the base size to bring it in line with most gaming base sizing and I cant find the notes atm...

I've been meaning to pick up 3 boxes of support weapons since I skipped them in the KS, 25% off is a pretty good incentive!

Mark, anyway of getting them to put the mortis up for presale with the 25%, I know i'm asking for way too much, but it would get an extra sale direct from me instead of another store.

60mm would make sense if you were trying to be in line with most gaming base sizes for robots and whatnot.

The 4.8" is exactly what I was looking for.

Dude, that rust is insane. I'll definitely be picking up a 15mm crusader while I was for my tiny mortii.

For those wondering what it would look like on a 120mm oval, I did this (sorry, I'm not good at graphics stuff):

The size difference is astounding! These two kits do not compete with one another at all. One would make a good stand-in for a (tall) dreadnought or perhaps a dreadknights or the like... and one is basically titan sized.

My quick pic from the Wargames Factory booth at GenCon:

The weapon arms come on and off the small one, and the "hydraulics" articulate, really well! I am so impressed by how the detail came out on it.

It also makes me very happy because my resin ones are literally, I think, halfway between these two in size! Someday I will get a lineup shot of mine between the others

So, the 15mm kit was super impressive, but smaller than I expected... likely because it was standing next to it's bigger brother . Should work extremely well for stand-ins in other games! Might even make for a fun "universe cross contamination" vehicle for mecha front
