I may not have done KS for these models, but I did get 40 Eisenkern troopers, 3 boxes of heavy weapons, command accessory kit, Crusader/left gatling cannon/cooler pack and I have to saw I am awed at the quality of these minis!

I love hearing that the designs are what my customers are looking for. That said, WGF did a terrific job on making sure they came out top notch.

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

Heh... I dunno man, getting a free $100+ model out of it might be asking a bit much, Mathieu!

Ask for the impossible. If you don't get it, at least you asked for it.

And if all they have is boxed stuff and they'll be stuck with extra sprues, or the cost of handling everything... it might actually be simpler to just send a box and tell servitor #289 that he should be extra careful.

They got back to me. Apologised and said they would send out the missing Mortis, and then contact me regarding arrangements to return the Crusader. Which is fine. I replied that I'm happy with any solution that doesn't end up costing me more money. Australia Post is unfortunately not cheap. I'm happy to take it down to the PO and find out the cost and then they can send me the money before I pay for it to be sent out. I could see it costing in the range of $40 (or more? $50 with tracking?) to send back to HK or the US. Which I won't be willing to do to out of pocket to correct their mistake...

Maybe Yonan's suggestion of sending the alt sprues would be the best option really. I can't see it being worth WGF's while to pay more than the cost to produce the model for it to be sent back. I'm Pledge number 640, if Mark wants to offer DFG any suggestions. (A free Crusader would also work - thanks Mathieu for the idea!)

Or maybe they could have you send it on to a WGF stockist/customer in Australia

I'm sure it'll get sorted out without too much hassle. I have faith in Mark and WGF.

Yes... but are you mainstream Markist, Protestant WGFist or reformed Mark & WGF?

Sorry, religious tension has been running high in my area lately.

They'll probably just send call tags out with the Mortis.

Keep your religious point of view to yourself , or GW might just declare a Jihad against you. They used to just do C & D letters, now it's worse than the Spanish .

I am also looking forwards to the Russian themed troops as based on what I have from the Eisenkern, they will also look amazing! you have outdone yourself in making minis that are imho superior in many ways to the GW stuff. I opened the box and these were comparable to say a Tamiya model soldier box in their detailing and layout! and Tamiya makes 1/48 and 1/35 scale troops for dioramas, so in smaller batches per their boxes. That being said, I look forwards to more weapons for my Leviathan Crusader, and the Hannomags!

In other WGF news. It seems the Secret Weapons project is turning out to be taking quite a bite into production (each tile requiring 5 full days of tooling to be ready) and some of the designs will see delays. Little chance of seeing help on the Dreamforge front, it seems.

hi dream forge developers
I was very looking forward to your soviet-themed storm trooper project back to 2011, is there any news related to them?

Welcome to Dakka, now go into introductions and introduce yourself properly!

DreamForge is still fullfilling its first Kickstarter campaign, all other plans are pushed back for the moment.

Has anyone here in the states gotten a shipping email or address confirmation yet? I know mark is moving houses, so just wondering if anyone's heard anything yet. Nothing on the wargamesfactory.com website yet either.

Not a peep. I wonder if the gun arms got hung up in customs or something.

Is US customs one of the bits of the government that has now been closed down for an unknown period?

it might be a long delay if so

Customs is part of the whole "national security" thing, so they would still be operating, much like the other law enforcement agencies. They would be at reduced administrative staffing, though, so the paperwork will move a lot slower, meaning shipments will take longer to clear.

My company just had a shipment clear ahead of schedule and it only docked yesterday. Customs is one part of the government they really can't destaff because people need to be making money to pay taxes.

But, but, but that makes sense, and our government operates like GW, so that can't happen

Mark, is a Valkir accessory box on the books at all? A mate was just looking at my DFG stuff and marveled at the stormtrooper accessory sprues, and wished something similar was available for his Spehss Mehreens. They really are a genius, well executed product. A Valkir box would add a similar customization ability to them, and chances are it would be size compatible with a certain other range, which could be very awesome indeed.

So when can we start seeing more renders of the assault troops? Since they were really the only thing I went in for, would be nice to see more pics of them.
