It's not part of a competition officially, but it might get entered later. While building it I decided to use the mule parts to make a scissors lift, still wip.

Bandai re-releases those things every few years. They're really tiny though.

I have a 1/100 Destroid at eye level... and if this diorama is 1/100, then it would fit 15mm levis perfectly... or damn close enough for me not to care.

It seems I was slightly mistaken. I actually didn't notice the 1/100 scale things there. I guess there were actually two versions of the factories released. A 1/170 scale series, which are dinky and much more common, and a 1/100 set which is slightly harder to come across.

Bandai reissued the 1/100 set 2 years ago though, so it should be possible to find it still.

That was one of he sets I eyeballed as a kid, I loved robotech, but had to skip the KS because of Paladiums involvement , I so wish that paulsongames had gotten the rights.....well maybe in two-three years when Paladium still hasn't published the rules harmony-gold will call Paulson and apologize.

When we last saw the Valkir, they were nothing more than a base concept. I knew I wanted power armor troops for the Eisenkern faction that represented the mid-point of advancement through the Eisenkern Ranks. A soldier that was superior but still very much a part of the core army, unlike the Knightly households ‘Ritterorden’ which operate with much more autonomy, where you find the Assault Troopers and Support Troopers.

are the big guns with the laced doo dad on them the standard armamanet or are they some sort of special weapon?

I'm impressed! The only thing that strikes me as odd is the massive size of the bore on those guns, and the aesthetic of the really large gun. Similar to how folks commented on Ada's, it doesn't look quite detailed enough.

But overall, I really like them

I hate those pictures...every update of the wave three stuff just makes me mad I'm not getting any of them....I should have just pledged for everything :(

I'm glad these won't be available for retail for a little while, cuz I'm broke right now and I don't want to be broker.

But, I'm planing to invest in a whole army of DFG stuff though What do you guys think is the best fit for 40k though? Imperial guard for standard troopers? They feel like they look more armored than your average guardsman though. Should they be all vets in carapace armor and valkir as stormtroopers? Or marines and valkir as terminators?

Kind of depends on the new codex. I think fluff wise you could say they are a regiment from a world where eugenics had been pushed for thousands of years and they are more fit and taller. Very German WWII style. They were cut off from the rest of the imperium for so long and their engineering actually excelled without the interference of Mars. Rumors of a giant walker/knight coming out might even allow the use of your leviathan as well

I have my mix of Bauhaus (old prints) and Eisenkern as all Vets/Grenadiersstyle, so that is 30pts added per squad, and these Valkir would be, well, used as stormtroopers in powered armor? T3 peeps in +3sv armor. Not so mighty as some think. But still awesome troopers.

Yeah I don't really care about stats, I just build armies to make em look good when I set up, and also in my dead pile when I'm wiped off the board

Anti tank rifles; Coil guns (similar to rail guns) They fire a solid AP slug. The cloth sleeve is a EMP shield to keep the power armor from having issues when the rifle is fired.

It is one of those crappy thing in minis, you cannot go true scale because everything looks too small when it is produced, you have to bump the size. Look at the print of the Assault trooper. I can hold it in my hands and what my eye perceives is very different than what you see in a render that has been blown up 20 times from the mini scale. The bore on the big rifle is about 1mm or so.

There are multiple FLGS near me here in saint Louis mo, but I prefer buying from MM, because of discount and friendliness. Plus they carry Marks goodies . The other shops do not. When my wife and I moved a year and a half ago I thought great MM will be right around the corner (2 miles from my new house instead of 40), unfortunately they moved two weeks before we did , now they are moving back closer to me, less than a mile, into a much larger facility. I see myself being so indebted soon .

Tempting, but sadly the shipping offsets the deal for non-US customers.
