I don't remember that being said recently either

(but then I've not been paying close attention to the date as this is one I'm happy to have finished when it's finished)

I would not be surprised if a cards pack is eventually offered but it's something outside the scope of the KS so Adam won't have had time to even consider it yet

ask him again once the KS is out and he may well say yes, especially if the expansions prove popular enough to get re-printed

Ah the resin encores are just that the preorders for the resin limited editions that sold out so he did an unnumbered time limited encore run but the caster needs until October to complete them

At this stage everything needs to be done not just the core game before Adam will ship to backers and only once that's done will he do a retail release so the core game could be finished and sitting on pallets but until the whole KS every mini is done there won't be a retail release - I'm hoping KS backers will see it by December but I suspect it will go to Q1 2015 with a retail release after that.

Yes, exactly, that's what I'm hoping, say a year or so after the release when the dust is settled and he has time to think about things like that.

Was the ram not one of the critters you fight in the core box?

And to chime in- Adam last said the he won't be providing a release date again in case something comes up and makes him out to be a liar. I'm expecting to have it around March honestly. Plenty of time to hone my painting skill.

No the core box does have an Antelope though

(although the art for the nightmare ram did get discovered during the frantic internet hunt for any and all KD concepts during the KS.. on deviantart if I remember right)

No, it's not in the core box, but we have seen an image of it before (or at least the concept) IIRC.

I quite like it, it is disturbingly odd, but I won't be buying it. The other new releases leave me a bit cold unfortunately.

EDIT; Ninja'd by Orlando!

That's right, I had forgotten. I knew we had seen it before; I just assumed it was with the kickstarter. Kinda sad I missed it, but when it gets printed again at least I won't feel bad painting a first run collector's edition.

I'm trying to remember where I read that, and I suppose it's possible it's been retracted already... or maybe it was in the Twitter feed. But "Pre-Order Encores estimated to ship October 2014" is still up on the KD main website under the store. Maybe they just mean individual resin minis that people pre-ordered, like the 40-year-old Savior.

Though the most recent KD Kickstarter update said that the core box is off to the manufacturers to print and assemble, so that sounds promising and, if true, October 2014 would be workable, theoretically.

I think you may conflated the resin pre-orders release date with a proposed, hoped for but as of yet unknown Kickstarter campaign release date...

What's the difference between an adult and infant sunstalker?

In the game we get an infant, right?

The adult looks to be the same kit, no?

Maybe it's just bigger?

Liking those People of the Sun.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

The infant has no rules, we get the adult with the expansion.

The infant is the one vomiting all over the "floor" and everyone in the way.

Just FYI- that's not mine. Stole the pic from CMoN. This was a contest entry for a painting contest at Gencon one year I believe.

I hope I can get home before they run out of the sun people. Geez they would look perfect for OGAM Japanese heroes.

I tend to do alright when I notice that in my inbox.

I did sign up for it recently but haven't received one yet.

Thinking of getting People of the Sun but we're already getting them in KD:M, right? Not sure if I've seen that male figure before.

Yes plastics of the people of the sun are in the sunstalker expansion for the game (this is the first we've seen of the male figure, we've seen wips of the Miko the female)

I got one over a year ago, and I can comfortably say, it is an amazing model. Could found with a lot of other lines as a stand in as well.

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

So... I gave them money for the Sun People. Trouble is, I had to change emails between my first order and this one. I sent them a message to change my profile... but I really didn't want to miss out on those two. I hope I get them.

Their customer service is good - if not a little overwhelmed and slow now.

Keep emailing them - maybe try via Facebook/Twiitter/etc. too?

They'll sort it out eventually!

Hello,

I'm pretty late at the party, but I'm searching for a euro based person who could buy stuff on the pledge manager for me (a LOT of stuff..), I'm located in Germany, and I would, of course, cover all fees and shipping when the stuff is ready to ship + something extra..

Interesting to note that the "Big 3" items AP recently rolled out - the Nightmare Ram, Sunstalker, and People of the Sun - are still available on the store. I and, I think, many others, presumed these would sell out within hours. So I'm starting to wonder why they haven't.

The Sunstalker could be because of price - $150 was probably a lot more than people were expecting that monstrosity to be priced at, and may be out of budget for even the most loose-walleted KD fan. But the other two are not terribly expensive, relatively speaking.

It's not a quality issue - the new figures are of the amazing quality and creativity that we have come to expect from KD.

Also interesting to note that the website no longer lists how many of each item they have in stock anymore.

So, that leaves us with two possibilities: People are losing interest in these botique figure releases, or they made a significantly larger run of these models than they have of previous models.

Which do you think it is?

I don't think people are losing interest. That's a very glib view of it.

Rather, I believe that since the Sunstalker Expansion already contains the Sunstalker and the People of the Sun, many people will not be eager to re-purchase those models if they're already waiting on them from KD:M. Also, as you mention, this Sunstalker is significantly more expensive than the typical KD model if we're not including eBay prices.

Even so, I'd still consider them to have sold well as the Nightmare Ram and Sunstalker are below 50 units each now and they started at 500 and 125 units, respectively. Meaning that 467 Nightmare Rams have sold and 91 Sunstalkers.

Also, GenCon and the pending re-opening of the pledge manager might be staying some hands. But I believe there is still much demand for Kingdom Death products specifically and not necessarily boutique products in general, though.

Wait, you can see inventory counts on the website? I haven't been able to see remaining stock on the KD website in a while....

But yes, you do have a point there. Maybe GenCon and ComiCon have drained the wallets of the potential buyers.

Also now there's more awareness that the resin models are most likely not going to be supported in any way in-game.

Did I read correctly that those three will not ship until October? Damn...

When Tablescapes, Dreamforge and those come in, I'll be all set for those long winter nights.

For the good news now. They shipped, I have them, they are gorgeous, much less intimidating than the Wet Nurse Pin-Up. I put them next to some of WGF's Rising Sun range and they appear suitably massive next to them.

Good kamis indeed!
