Mine (GW Marion) do not seem to hate Forgeworld, however, they have told me I can not enter their models into painting competitions before that I found odd...
They do stock the HH novels though and are usually trying to upsell them.

Its because of Cheese slingers at my FLGS that Forge World is slowly getting banned there. Luckily they are having Hardcore Tournaments every few months, but they still limit the use of certain Forge World Models and Army Lists.
Its not Forge World that is the problem its the people who abuse it to the point that you feel it is FW's fault. These are the type of people though that would find whatever cheese they could get at in any army(including normal armies) and serve it like a nice cheese dish of Limburger
Wow, 3 feet worth of cases filled with about 10 units! Heaven forbid!
Out of the hundreds of units FW produces only a select few are broken. Please stop with the blatant hyperbole that's clouding your opinion. Too many people seem to of the opinion of FW being a licence to bring a Titan to a normal game of 40k which is just hogwash and also blatantly overpowered, which has lead to tar pretty much EVERY FW units with the same brush. FW is NOT just Titans and Superheavies!

my stockist just wants to make money, he orders anything i ask him too.
As FW is an official partner with GW, i would contact the GW manager in charge of the district where the shop is in.

And even then FW is pretty heavy handed with its nerfs, look at the dread drop pod and the hades breaching drill.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

At first, I was lead to believe that FW wasn't updating their stuff for 6th fast enough. Lately, I'm not sure why FW is still shunned at "official" GW events. You can certainly bring your FW in and use it in friendly games at GW stores, at least in Washington.

No one hate FW in Winnipeg. In a tournment, just ask if we can use FW or not. Most of the time is a Yes.
For me, FW is a webstore only.

When I was asking about getting the Horus Heresy book, one of the GW's I tend to visit said that the official line was 'as you can't really sell any Horus Heresy miniatures in store, you're not going to be stocking the books.'
There was also a discussion with a manager I had where there was a comment that "I was the third person asking about it today" and he seemed almost well, depressed, about the whole thing. I mean, lets face it, that would have been £210 worth of books sold that day.
On a 'normal' day, getting over 200 quid for the space of 3 books on a shelf would have been a very nice earner for them.
No wonder the staff are a bit depressed and bitter about the whole thing...

I'm confused. Is there not an instore PC there? There is pretty much one in every GW store AFAIK. You can order stuff from the FW site instore and get it sent to the store and it counts towards the store's takings. That manager is clueless.

There is, and you can order from forgeworld there.
However, there's no mechanisms for free shipping to the store, last I asked and I have not been aware of there being any difference between ordering to the store as an address and ordering to the house.

Or, I could order it and get it delivered to my house for the exact same price. Why should I help the store out when it inconveniences me?

I was always advised by the staff to order to the store (it counting towards the store's takings was tangential) as it would be shipped with the store's order (like other direct orders) and not chucked around by the Royal Mail.
The option is there, as FW is a license to print money and GW staff would be daft to let these sales slip through.
