This took me forever to get round to finishing, the sheer size of it kept making me give up.
With Chapterhouse resin bits and Forge World brass symbols on the doors.

Are the lizard-y additions to the weapons from Chapterhouse? Also the scales over the treads?
I play Salamanders myself, and I don't have anything half this nice. This is a GREAT piece!

Yeah, the Chapterhouse kit is great - it includes the sponsons, the cover bit on the Heavy Bolters, the track guards and the bits on the 4 corners with lava effect and various other decorations. http://chapterhousestudios.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=85_78&product_id=181

Well its a good thing you persevered and finished this project because the final result looks incredible. Love the personal customization of the model, the paint work looks crisp and clean. The scale covers on the front trax is a real nice touch that really ties the whole salamanders theme together. I agree with you about wanting to give up when you paint landraiders; have painted 2 of them in my life and both were just exhausting. I couldnt even imagine painting something apocalypse sized :(

This looks great but i think you can add something to make it even better! try doing a red hot / orange to the Lascannon coils, some osl maybe?
