Subject: New Warmachine faction- Convergence of Cyriss (Iron Mother pg 21)
any sign of the hoverbots or lucant? I remember seeing a WIP 3D render of lucant on a blog somewhere and the conservator's arm was in a NQ insider earlier in the year.

So still to come out of the stuff in the book, there's the Battle Engine, Lucant and anything else?
"The 75mm gun is firing. The 37mm gun is firing, but is traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. I am saying "Driver, advance." and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. And as I look over the top of the turret and see twelve enemy tanks fifty yards away, someone hands me a cheese sandwich."

Then there's the fact that it's in the soft-detail, easy to warp and low QC plastic resin they've used.
Honestly I've given up hope of a good plastic release from PP until they change their materials, the Convergence starter box was just...abhorrent. I'm up to my fourth replacement on the light vector chassis, mould lines are everywhere and for no discernible benefit apart from a slight lowering in costs, which is instantly countered by a massive drop in quality. Hell I'd even prefer the Corollary because of the resin/metal combo.

It's not plastic resin. It's just plastic. All plastic. No resin. It's just a different kind of plastic than most are used to with GWs products. No resin is involved.

also, looking at the updated release schedule on the website, it looks like Lucant will be coming out in April as well with the hover bots and focus bin

Father Lucant has served Cyriss for over two hundred and fifty years and stands as both a prophet and a bastion of the spiritual truths the Convergence holds as incontrovertible. His presence inspires awe in all who have transcended to inhabit clockwork vessels, for it was his work that brought the process from theory to reality. It was Lucant who initiated the Great Work, and now he marches to battle to ensure its completion.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.
Man, really liked how he looked in his old IKRPG days... now he looks like some anthropomorphic robot horse that got shoved backwards and is regaining his balance.
Too bad, was really looking forward to adding him to my Witchfire collection.
He's the Forces of Warmachine: Convergence of Cyriss book that's already available.

Was he human before becoming a machine ? He looks strange !

I went to look at the other Warcasters for the faction, he seems by far the most alien to me.

Well, do keep in mind that Forgemaster Syntherion floats and, furthermore, has Swiss Army Knives for arms, so that would probably be even more awkward than having four legs and five(?) arms.

Also, the Iron Mother is a centipede with a human puppet hanging off the front.
We can only hope that he isn't as much of a pain in the ass to attach to a base as he looks. I think I had better chances with the drones from infinity :|
That said it has been a long time coming. The sculpt is a little disappointing (doesn't really have a lot of character) but it should serve.

Forgemaster Syntherion looks like some kind of mystical machine.

Iron Mother Directrix looks like a robot women with a huge thing on her back.
Father Lucant looks like some alien who was put into a robotic body fashioned on the likeness of its previous alien body to me. The arms, and especially the head, do not look human at all, and yet do not look like what a machine would fashion.

You have to remember, he was also the second clockwork priest created. And several hundred years old.
He should be fairly posable. I think I'll have mind climbing over a heap of dead Cephalyx.
I think I'll have mine dry humping a wrecked plastic 'jack.
Ugh. Them legs!
