Prodos - Are you planning to have some new art in the rulebook or just the old one from the previous versions? Paul Bonner is still in the business and maybe up for some work

On the kickstarter page I think someone suggested that we should have the option for a more classic mask design. I think this is a good Idea, let people choose between new “latest issue of the Bauhaus ranger gear” and classic “conservative V-ranger veterans” , then everyone will be happy (well…). I would be willing to pay for extra for this type of extra head options.

can't promise, but we might have it as a Squad Commander upgrade (so, you will have one in the squad pack), squad is still WIP.

That squad commander looks great, love it. I hope we'll see options like this in the finished troop pack. Thanks Prodos for all the hard work you’re doing and for trying to please the fans (that frequently disagree and have very strong opinions about how things should/must be).

Could maby she not be in the pose as if she was running in the intro of baywatch?

http://youtu.be/IuYrRebvFHc?t=1m3s

*the clothing clinging to her breasts as if she was wet doesn't help with this in my mind*

Edit: I'm also not going to lie, if I got that mini/was doing cybertronic I wouldn't put the backpack on, and would glue a holster on her hip from bit supplier. But that's a easy converstion so it's not hurting anyone to include the backpack. I'm not a fan, but it's kinda a optional bit anyway.

I like her but not the doctor octopus thing going on. Is this what she looked like in the original art? I think it fits with the cybertronic theme though, doesn't it? By that, I mean she looks like a messed up human.

You know, you can just not mount it on model and you have Diana like in Bonner art. But this backpack looks similar to Combat medkit from WZ mk I. I`m ok with it.

I had the same thought when I seen her for first at the facebook forum. Is her clothing wet, or what?

Nothing to do with either, the old auto medic unit had 6 limbs true, but were small and did not have a circular rotor saw, a grab arm, a drill and an impact hammer, seriously not seeing why this was necessary, is she a mechanic now? and how does she use such primitive repair tools on the field.

I'm guessing the thought process is because cybertronic is more cyborg-licious she need to be both a mechanic and a medic at the same time?

maybe you need those tools to repair a tank or take down a building, but i guess you need some more precise tools to repair/ heal a cyborg, android or whatever.
I'm not a fan of the backpack in it's current state. The model itself is nice, though. I imagine the coat painted glossy like made out of latex. With those tools on her back there will be a lot of blood on her when she "aids" her fellows, so it's convenient if she just can flush it away

lol, fair enough. XD

Thow I will point out even if the materail was made of Latex, I don't think it would be clinging around her breasts that much, unless they speficly made her uniform to fit that way. O.o (Then I guess that would make Dr.D the "7 of 9" of the warzone universe. lol

also aigen. The way it's sticking to her breasts so much even implies she isn't wearing a bra under that uniform. XD The only reason it's not explicit, is because at-least they had the decency to not give her "nipple bumps" poking out from under her uniform.

I'm just so impressed and have mad respects for Prodos for not making any of their female models with "fan service" in mind.

Mr Storm. Thanks for sharing.
I agree that the new model doesn't compare to the old.

The new model was based on the lady that provided the inspiration for the DrDiana. She was very happy with the likeness.
Regarding the Bonner art. It was an interpriation of this woman's likeness. The fluff (old and new) states DrDiana is aloof and emotionaless And disarmingly beautiful. I think all of this has been covered by our 3D artist

And finally the field-repair pack would not be on the art shown as she is not in the field, rather the cloning/cyber enhancement lab.

Nobody complained about the face IIRC (somebody mentioned on KS that she looks quite happy, but that's about it).

People criticized about the harness that makes little sense.
People criticized about how form fitting the clothes are.
People criticized about the pose and how fragile it may actually be.

Nobody criticized at the boots, but I will, the bend is not natural.

Go away from Bonner art, sure, venture and modernize the designs, of course that's the way forward I support that.

But I will criticize the designs I find bad in my opinion, her harness makes no sense I was expecting her with a backpack as the old model, because what she has on her back (unsure on how it is supported) is something that does not seem to fit with her role or the universe.

Thank you!

Having reread the posts after and including your initial reveal of DrDiana (and attached comments) and the comments of others since on this Dakka Dakka thread, I think I would use the word 'comment' instead of 'complain' and 'criticise' in your above quote in all cases for the sculpt of Dr. Diana - Neoclone, (except your own regarding the boots, I would not be so bold. I thank you for it and explaining why they are not to your taste)

Please note my last post was a direct response to the one it quoted regarding the new model looked nothing like the old or the old art. And tried to give you the reasons why this was the case.
The field-repair pack is cybernetically attached to her via attachment ports in her back which allow her to control it mentally.
The fourth arm (you have described as 'an impact hammer') is actually a drug/steroid injection system

Shush you, stop ruining my chance to get new conversion bitz for AdMech!

Honestly, I don't see it as a big issue; if you like the pack, leave it on, if you don't, put a bag over her shoulder instead and you have something quite close to the original artwork and model.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

I really like the idea of the servo arms but I believe they would look better if they were thinner, more sinister looking and less tech marine. Somewhat like the ones these got (with other tools perhaps):

And this might actually get me to order some stuff from this. You've finally shifted it enough that you guys are not actually more expensive for the US. I'm going to run some numbers an see what I might be joining for.

@c0un7_z3r0

Where are those models from?

I wish I hadn't sold off my Skorize Warriors - and I wish I could find them so I could buy them again!

I've been on the fence between, WWX, THON, Hell Dorado and Warzone - not sure which one, if any!, to back.

I can say I'm leaning towards Warzone now though...

I gave mine away (along with a s#&t-load of other dirz stuff) but I've been thinking of buying some on ebay though...

How come warzone seems less favorable?

Yeah, the additional 10% and the ablity to trade in the rulebook for other stuff means it's finally getting into not costing me more to pre-order and I do like a lot of the model's they've shown so far.

@c0un7_z3r0

He's saying it's actually the favorable one right now, not less favorable.

I really like Warzone's fluff and model range so far, I can not wait to see what they have in store for Capitol. I am hoping now that we hit 75k we will see some concepts to entice us to get to 80k.

Honestly, I had assumed the pack was attached to her back via ports of some kind, it is Cybertronic. I think her [Please don't try and circumvent the expletive filter - thanks! Alpharius] boots are amazing, I'd like something as bad-@$$ for my Étoiles, please!

Yes, that 10% has me seriously eyeing switching the hardcopy rulebook for more stuff, but keep the background book. I'm a sucker for fluff. I'm betting this announcement will push us along nicely too. Someone at Paradox must have been happy with the work Prodos is doing.

All in all, Warzone would make a fantastic gift to myself for having survived another year in that terrible school.

Great question, I was under the impression it is 2 separate books, time to look over the KS.

After rereading it looks like it is just one book.
